LIVE on the Senate floor: Senators debate the short-term funding bill passed by the House last night. If the bill fails, it will trigger a government shutdown just before the Christmas holiday.
I say keep them in session (no christmas break) until some combination of Kyl, Alexander or Hatch flip on the nuclear option. If Flake wants to be a democrat that’s his business but the rest should be forced to stay in session until they put the people’s safety first.
The four who are stopping the nuclear option are Flake, Kyl, Lamar Alexander and Hatch.

I believe the Vice President, in his role as President of the Senate, is the presiding officer and has the authority to keep them in session until the measure passes.
If it’s shut down (I hope) in the new year the new members should not be sworn in and Nazi should not be given the gavel.
The vote is held open to allow 12 Senators to return for a vote.

Flake, Kyl, Alexander and Hatch have been involved in every amnesty attempt.
They were never on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
Bush League Republicans have spent their careers blocking US from doing anything about the invasion.
From what they’re saying on TV right now (Dana PeRINO’s Fox show) Corker hasn’t said he’d vote no on using the nuclear option, only those four. That might just mean he hasn’t said he would yet or is still making up his mind but that’s what she reported. Only those four actually told McConnell they would definitely vote no on it.
Yet to vote: Paul, Risch, Feinstein, Jones, Murray, Tester, Udall, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Isakson, Kyle
It looks like closure is imminent.
Good to know who along with the RATS is responsible for the government shut down.
It will be interesting if politically, Trump and/or Republicans can say that it was a lack of Democratic Party votes that shut down the government.
If the public can get the truth of how the Democrats will do anything, including harming the country to oppose Trump, things might change. However, the media will probably never fully explain what is going on.
Republicans are “Charlie Brown”, and Democrats are “Lucy With The Football” encouraging Charlie to kick it, then taking it away before Charlie gets there, again and again.
The media will do everything it can do to make President Trump look bad in this...
It is going to take something extreme to get the REAL truth out to the American people...
