LIVE on the Senate floor: Senators debate the short-term funding bill passed by the House last night. If the bill fails, it will trigger a government shutdown just before the Christmas holiday.

Does well at explaining what’s going on.
Only interesting possibility I see is taking it to conference, as they usually would.
Thanks! Now live streaming this on one of my computer displays. Looks like they are mostly just present at the moment. Maybe they’ll get impatient to go home and vote yes so they can leave.
It’s Christmas for them 365 days a year...
Here’s a question...
If the President of the United States can be personally sued, Can these so called “Republicans” like Jeff Flake be personally sued or charged with criminal Misrepresentation and Fraud?
They sure deserve it. Flake is fraudulently NOT representing our republican interests here in Az and grossly misrepresenting himself as a “republican”.
Cue the Trump-is-a-Grinch media meme for the next few days.
But that nill has to be passed, in the same form, by the House before it goes to President.
That hasn’t happened- hope it doesn’t.
This vote is taking a while. Looks like a number of GOP senators are cutting deals.
Thank you!
Folks, go on Facebook and ask your friends to be in active prayer right now!
The four who are stopping the nuclear option are Flake, Kyl, Lamar Alexander and Hatch.
Civil suits not involving their government service can go forward. Sovereign immunity applies otherwise.
Hatch is about the only one that it looks like could be flipped with boodle. It’s a personal hate machine crusade for Flake and Kyl and Alexander have openly said they don’t give a crap about the American people’s safety by retiring.
I think they’re basically immune for anything they do or say in their official capacity.
PRAY!!!!!!
Bump!
All lame ducks?
After all those nice chuck n nancy deals last Christmas? That’s just not happening.
Their patrons, notably the Chamber of Commerce, will not allow this. The CofC wants open borders and government-run health care. If the government assumes complete control over health, employers will see greatly enhanced profit margins.
OK...I am generally not one to hope for bad things to happen to people, but with what all has happened to many of our people because of the refusal of Congress people to protect our country and secure our borders, I do hope some Congress members and family members reap the actions of these illegal criminals they have allowed across our borders...Theft, rape, assault...I don’t care...They deserve any crime committed against them and their families...
Nobody will even notice if the federal government shuts down.
If you really want to have an impact on people, shut down Wal-Mart or Target for a few days ...
