Falling birthrate, rising death rate slow population growth as more Americans move to western and southern states
The U.S. population grew in the past year at its slowest rate in over eight decades, with growth in the South and West continuing to outpace the Northeast and Midwest, according to figures the Census Bureau released Wednesday.
The numbers, which cover the year ended July 1, show the country’s population rose by 0.6% to 327.2 million people. That was the lowest rate since 1937 in data going back to 1901, according to William Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution.
The figures offer fresh clues to which states are likely to gain or lose congressional seats after the 2020 census

It’s a good thing. We already have 330 million people. We don’t need more. The only nations of the world that have more are India and China.
Maybe this is true. Maybe it isn’t. But I think the real message is: golly, we need more immigrants from Mexico to do the work of the future!!!!!!!
Our population is increasing dramatically. The low birth rate is a story line that may be true, but all our cities are growing by 10% per decade and those numbers are not coming from the rural areas.

As of April 1, 2020 all people residing in the USA , been like that since 1790.
Western decadence is the problem here. Traditional gender roles are no longer supported by our society.
It’s a good thing until you realize they’re moving in foreign nationals while our bedrock populace remains the same size.
Who understands and sees a need for our Founding principles? Our bedrock populace, or the new immigrants.
We truly need an effort to have our populace have the six to ten children they used to.
Self-deterination for the bedrock populace depends on it.
In 30 years there will be very few White self-rule nations on the face of planet earth.
Our nation may not be one of them.
I think that the main reason why it’s so low lately is because Trump is increasing security at the border and deporting more illegals.
Is there some city somewhere that desperately needs more traffic? Do the suburbs need to become even sprawlier? To rural towns need to become clogged cities? Do we need to create new towns all across the nation?
We have 300 million people. How many more do we need?
No, it’s addressing replacement birthrates.
The Western nations and Japan are not creating replacement children.
Third worlders are procreating like there’s no tomorrow.
Stop aborting 60 million unborn American citizens and then trying to replace them with non-citizen illegal aliens. Problem solved.

Although that helps, another big reason is that the post WWII Baby Boom generaton is starting to die off.
