WAPO REPORTER: FBI AND CIA SOURCES SAY THEY DOUBT MAJOR DOSSIER ALLEGATION
Daily Caller ^ | 12/17/18

One of the most prominent allegations in the Steele dossier is that Michael Cohen visited Prague during the 2016 campaign to pay off Russia-linked hackers who stole emails from Democrats — the claim fueled speculation ever since the dossier was published that the Trump campaign actively colluded with Russians to influence the election.

But according to a top national security reporter for The Washington Post, FBI and CIA sources told reporters for the newspaper they doubt the allegations, which British spy Christopher Steele leveled.

“We’ve talked to sources at the FBI and the CIA and elsewhere — they don’t believe that ever happened,” Greg Miller, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, said at an event in October that aired Saturday on C-SPAN.

It was a different Michael Cohen who was identified by some FBI subcontractor in an NSA database query that was then fed to Steele.

Now that it might be coming unraveled, they say they don’t believe it. Just putting their fingers up to test the wind.

What a crock of sh!t. LOL.

Even the NYT and CNN doubted the dossier allegation. That's why they didn't run with the story in 2016 even after their CIA/FBI sources gave it to them.

This is where the whole story starts to fall apart. The DOJ is claiming that all kinds of information they have in their possession is "classified" because they do not want to reveal sources and methods of intelligence-gathering. They make it sound like these documents have references to obscure CIA personnel and secret surveillance techniques that must be protected.

What they're really trying to hide is the "method" of using major U.S. news media outlets as CIA assets to disseminate information that is used to justify covert surveillance of U.S. citizens.

"according to a top national security reporter for The Washington Post, FBI and CIA sources told reporters for the newspaper they doubt the allegations"

The "top national security reporter for The Washington Post" certainly has a firm grasp of the obvious. I just wonder why it took him (them?) two whole years to reach this conclusion.

They’re not supposed to doubt. If they had done their job they would KNOW one way or the other without a doubt. This comment alone should have every judge handling this case to bring it to an immediate halt and find out just what the hell is going on.

Evidence produced last week that the FBI pushed this story and tried to legitimize it to the media and the public. When Trump was briefed on this purported dossier in the Oval Office, he was NOT told that it was paid for by the Clinton campaign. This is astonishing - the FBI acting more as the taxpayer funded proxy for the Clinton campaign, manufacturing evidence and criminal charges, ruining lives and apparently not giving a damn who they hurt, using OUR money to try to overturn the election. These are tactics worthy of the Gestapo, Stasi or KGB, a remarkable disgrace for our republic.

A recent post at Conservative Treehouse stated an insider tip to the site was that FusionGPS was one of the so-called “contractors” at the NSA.

re: “Michael Cohen visited Prague during the 2016 campaign to pay off Russia-linked hackers”

Did he carry cash? Did he declare it? There has to be a ‘trail’ either way (ETF, etc) ...

Hi.

I don’t remember where I got this, but Michael Cohen turned his passport into the FBI and there wasn’t a Prague entry stamp.
