The Harvey Weinstein scandal has a lot of moving parts headed towards an important hearing next week that will set the next stage in the criminal proceeding. On one end, Weinstein has been pushing a Delaware bankruptcy court to allow him to recover files maintained by The Weinstein Co. and then permit him to use those emails and other documents to defend himself from sexual assault charges in New York. On the other end, there's still pending civil lawsuits including one class action from his many accusers. On Thursday, those women sounded the alarm about Weinstein's efforts.
"He should not be able to play federal courts in different jurisdictions with diametrically-opposed positions," states twin motions arguing for both a protective order and for the civil action to proceed.
First, the protective order.
It's partly in response to Weinstein's efforts to obtain emails between him and his accusers and then hold up those communications as exculpatory evidence.
"In fact, Weinsteins criminal defense lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, told Plaintiffs counsel he intended to unleash these emails in the media to sway the court of public opinion. Despite these threats, Weinstein has not produced any of the documents with Plaintiffsand discovery is not open in this case."

The whole repulsive “Me, too” movement is basically a mass effort to deny due process to any male defendant in a sex abuse case, even though many of those cases are groundless and brought for political reasons. Harvey needs to get his due process.
Both the person accepting and offering the bribe are guilty of illegal acts.
There should be outing and punishment of those actresses and actors who offered bribes.

Does anyone think the ‘casting couch’ was just a myth? I heard about that 40 years ago.
There is even famous actors telling that actress’s resumes would include the letters “DRR” which was known to mean “Directors Rights Respected”... or they would have sex with him.
I am just surprised that with all that freely available ‘tang they had to force themselves on anyone.
Just being offended can get you a big pay day.

Nailed it
Let’s start a me too movement before someone hacks his email/twitter and finds out I’m a ho.
Remember “The Fappening”?
A lot of those “hacked” photos were meant as enticements for auditions/casting calls, IMO.
Bingo!
Virtue signaling convinces the left of its own unimpeachable morals. When push comes to shove, it rejects guilt for any of its wrongdoing and attributes such allegations to conspiracy theories.
Peter Daou, a Democratic strategist and former advisor to Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, tweeted on Monday that Ford will be "attacked, smeared, and demonized" and that people must "BELIEVE WOMEN."
Yes, of course they want that, it’s not as if entertainment industry nitwits are addicted to truth, after all, “everyone knew”.
Study finds even feminists are most attracted to THIS type of man (WOKE men hardest hit) [tr]
(I guess this category doesn’t include Harvey)

Actresses wearing black outfits that are see-thru when flashbulbs go off and they are not wearing anything underneath is another.
If Weinstein had been a Republican donor, these accusers wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of keeping their emails private.
Malkovich will be starring as Hercule Poirot in a 3 part BBC production titled The ABC Murders.
