The Boy Scouts of America is mulling declaring bankruptcy amid flagging membership and an avalanche of costly sex abuse allegations, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Leaders have hired Chicago law firm Sidley Austin for help in a potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, sources told the outlet.
The organization has been fending off lawsuits over alleged abuse, including one filed by four former scouts who called the club a “pedophile magnet” and alleged that they were molested by scoutmaster Waldron Ackerman between 1974 and 1976.
The organization has reportedly lost two-thirds of its members — some 4 million boys — since the 1970s.

We cannot ever have male omly clubs and groups to just be around men in ur exclusive gender and share wisdom and truth without wome arund, but there can be billiojs of female only groups.

The intiation rights in the early seventies weren’t that severe. A boy was taken into the woods and left at a designated spot alone for the night. usually a leader would check on him. if I remember correctly he was given a blanket and whatever clothes he had on and his knife. The next day they would go get him usually torn up by mosquitoes . but wiser and much more willing and able to lead younger scouts. after all, the kid spent a night alone, who better to help a scared scout his first camping trip. YMCA summer camp was worse. lol
Same with the liberal Jewish denominations (Reform/Conservative) which now have to consolidate their buildings & resources. Most of the members are 50+, LGBT, feminist, or intermarried. (Like the Pittsburgh congregation of recent tragedy.) Probably a good number are not even Jewish, according to Jewish law.
This is sort of a chicken-or-the-egg question. The admission of gays/women, etc. might be the egregious sign of decline. But were these movements in decline anyway, and forced to accept gays/women/left-wing types to artificially inflate their numbers? Or was the admission of gays, women, etc. the catalyst?
Probably a little of both. Once boundaries were eliminated, and the movement lost any moral or philosophical integrity, it became a joke. There was no framework; anyone could join or "identify" with it.
Reform/Conservative Judaism trumpeted proudly how it has openly welcomed gays, and even has a lesbian rabbi currently running their organization. But it's a hollow victory. LGBT people are the only ones left in that movement.
A faggy kid would not have lasted one camping trip in my old troop.
Nor do any of them have a clue where this is headed. They do not have the knowledge of history nor the insight into human behavior to understand we are on a quick-march to totalitarianism, civil war, and the loss of the Republic.
So lets see the Boy scouts go gay in order to appease the liberals. Of course the liberals don’t even have any desire to be Scouts because they are having to much fun with their smart phones and constant texting and all of that. Not surprisingly conservatives and moral religious people stop sending there kids to Scouts because the boy scouts now represents a physical and moral threat to their kids.

Pulled my boys the year the termites allowed homosexual leaders. They and their phony oath were dead to me.
It was a great organization while it lasted.
Like any reasonable parent would send their teen sons on overnights with faggots.

That was my “ordeal” (initiation) into the Order of the Arrow in about 1956. Blindfolded and taken out into the woods at night. Had to stay until they came and got you in the morning. I found an old metal bed frame and tried to sleep on it. On an Iowa island in Mississippi River. Leaders came around somewhere along the line and dumped me out of it. Spent rest of night on ground freezing my ass off and found a snake underneath me trying to stay warm. The initiations I mentioned earlier were much more vicious.

American cultures: Choose THREE groups that have different racial, cultural, national, or ethnic backgrounds...
There are also opportunities under Family Life, Public Health, or if one has skill in hair and makeup design, go for the Theater merit badge.
