VIOLENT protests by furious yellow vest demonstrators raging at French President Emmanuel Macron have been a “catastrophe” for the nation’s economy, France’s finance minister has complained

Bruno Le Maire said France’s economy will be seriously affected by the protests against Mr Macron’s fuel reforms, which saw cars gutted after being set on fire, landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe graffitied and three people killed.

Did you visit Trocadéro and do the "Footsteps of History" Photoshop tour?

;-)

Problem is power trippers have an insatiable thirst.
It’s like telling a drunk to cut back on their intake.

Sorry. I should have been more precise. The heathen are the globalist leaders and I really did mean good luck to the people of France! Thanks.

I’d go to Paris again without hesitation.

Right now you're in a very small minority. Scenes of the Arc de Triomphe being defaced and tear gas on the Champs Elysses do not make good tourism ads.

I’m not concerned with MSM reporting on the actions of Leftist agitators defaming what is a nationalist protest. Were you put off supporting Trump because of rally hooligans and the MSM’s reporting of it? Are you really this naive?

Perfect plan, it is "the cure" to what ails France; will he implement them? ...Not a chance:

Communist/"socialists" would rather watch their nations and societies burn to the ground and turn to ash and dust rather than admit communism is a failure for everyone but the elites and their sycophant lackeys.

Don't believe me, just look at Venezuela, Cuba, the former Soviet Union, ...the list of failed communist/"socialist" states is endless.

Still they tirelessly proclaim: "'progressive socialism' (i.e. communism) is the answer!"

I don’t recall visiting either. It was 12 years ago. I was on company leave from Iraq and built in a 4 day layover in Paris. The company was pretty good in supporting it. I did another one in Amsterdam the following year. I’d just check into a hotel and travel the city free-association like until it was time to go to the airport. No plans, no schedule, no obligations. Paris was excellent for that. I remember spending a morning at the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre (I had to look it up). Afterwards I laid on the grass and just stared at the sky. It was a cool, cloudy September day. I had a a great R&R there. It was the perfect antidote for the hot, dry and barbaric savagery of Baghdad.

Or, perhaps, face a close shave, like revolutionaries did in France two + centuries ago...

Macron and cronys, victims of The Trump Curse.

LOL. The little bantam rooster should have never picked a fight with the Donald. There is still much more pro America sentiment in France than the media would have you believe. I could give numerous examples.

Are you really this naive?

Are you really this stupid? In the tourism industry perception is everything. Since you don't want to deal with Paris, think instead about Florida. Out of the millions of tourists that visit the state every year all it took was a couple of high profile robberies and killings for armed guards to be stationed at rest stops along the Interstate and identifying stickers for rental cars to be removed. Scare away the tourists for any reason and the snowball effect is devastating.

I am on a forum for people walking the Camino de Santiago, which starts in France and ends in Spain, and pilgrims from all parts of the globe are already trying how to figure out how to fly in to some place other than Orly or De Gaulle to start their pilgrimages. In reality they may be perfectly safe but if they don't believe that nothing else matters.

Yes, great view of the city from the steps of Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre. While I appreciate much in Paris, I prefer the smaller cities - particularly to the west in the Loire Valley and Brittany. The problem is, virtually all international flights to France go to Paris, so you still have to run the gauntlet.
