U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz with three other senators introduced a bill Wednesday that is aimed at fully funding a wall along the US-Mexico border... The WALL Act would fully fund the border wall by closing existing loopholes that provide illegal immigrants with federal benefits and tax credits, without affecting the benefits and tax credits used by Americans.

Are you kidding me? The CURRENT House is one place it would pass. I worry more about the current Senate.
All spending bills must originate in the House. Obamacare was started in the Senate by using an appropriations bill already passed in the house, and amended it by striking every single word out of the bill, including the title, and amending it with the Obamacare bill language.
A bit late.
That would be an excellent Christmas Gift to Americans from Sea to Shining Sea!
Then, start slashing government spending across the board, and cut off all payments to countries that hate us and want us dead.

My first thought as well. Ted’s name or lead means it is DOA. Sad. Anyone think differently, let’s watch, okay?
Now that it’s safe to propose it. Reminds me of Obamacare where they said they supported its repeal when it was “safe” for them to do so, but as soon as it was really doable, oh no, they don’t support it.
