When have liberals ever actually dumped a tax plan. Always waiting for another day.

So now they’ll have to raise taxes to pay for all that damage. The French are the most heavily taxed people surpassing Denmark.

I’m going to venture to guess that they’ll sneak it in the back door some other way.
Just a hunch. Have you EVER seen a Socialist or a Democrat give in or give up?
In, Around, Under or Through. Sure wish the GOP acted like that! *SPIT*

Exactly. The liberals in France (and here) say that the "rich" should pay all the climate reparaations. But it shows they don't understand the issue. There's plenty of money for windmills, etc that they already pay for with higher taxes and higher electricity bills. The fuel tax is to stop them from driving unless they pay a dollar a mile or something close to that.
They can't grasp the concept that the globalists believe that 10 cents a mile is about 10X too low.

"Would any US govt drop a policy because of demonstrations in the Capital? France has too many residuals leftover from the Revolution." Perhaps we have too few residuals leftover from our revolution.

Government never has enough money until income tax rates are 100% combined with an asset tax of 100%, which is always the goal.

Too late, I think. Well, the British repealed the tea tax after the complaints this side of the pond. Didn't make any diff, as the fuse was lit.

France has a budget?
Wow!
To: Joe 6-pack
That’s true but France’s Revolution and ours though contemporaneous and speaking to Liberty have little in common in their methods and outcome.
To: xkaydet65
True enough...which is why I noted, “our” revolution in my reply :-)

Gas in France is over $6/gallon.
I bought gas at the local Costco yesterday for $2/gallon.
Cheaper energy makes everything more affordable.
