Judge OKs sanctuary cities, rules anti-sanctuary law unconstitutional
The Washington Times ^ | Friday, November 30, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

A federal judge in New York has ruled the Trump sanctuary city crackdown illegal Friday — but even went further and also ruled the law Congress passed requiring information-sharing is unconstitutional.

Judge Edgardo Ramos‘ decision frees sanctuary jurisdictions in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Washington, Massachusetts and Virginia to continue their policies without fear of losing federal money.

The judge said the Trump administration attempted to write new conditions of cooperation, including notifying the feds of illegal immigrants ready for pickup, beyond what Congress had authorized. He said it is up to Congress to decide those conditions.

“The separation of powers acts as a check on tyranny and the concentration of power,” the judge wrote

But beyond that, the judge ruled Section 1373 of immigration law, which requires at least some level of information-sharing, to be a violation of the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment, which prohibits federal interference with state powers.

This is what the Left stole the House seats for in the Nov. 6 elections. This anti-Trump judge knows that the House will pass new laws gutting border security.

You can also thank your stupid daughters for voting for corrupt Democrats to take care of them, since they don’t have husbands.

Appeal where? SCOTUS is just as corrupt, even with Kavanaugh.

The jury box is closed. Two options left: 1. Ignore or 2. Open the fourth box.

These leftist, low level judges should not be granted such power. One dumb ass can overrule the rule the President?

So (hypothetically) by order of the President, the U.S. goes to war against an enemy...Do those low level judges have the power to stop such a war? The “invaders” actions constitute an act of “war”.

That is a nasty crack and not true. There were plenty of millennial sons and grandsons who voted for the democrats. I may concede that because of bad parents who raised irresponsible sons that some women out of desperation vote for increased govt spending because it is impossible to be both breadwinner and full time mother and something has to give. These bad parents are those who pass on the idea to their sons that women are stupid, inferior, only good for the bedroom and the kitchen, to be controlled and even abandoned, are ultimately responsible for this. The fact that some supposedly conservative people think that disenfranchising half of the citizens in this country is a positive step is outrageous. If you think that disenfranchising women is such a wonderful thing why don’t you move to an Islamic nation where women have no rights at all? Once you take away the right to vote because you believe that women are stupid, it is an easy thing to take further steps because you have effectively silenced them. And furthermore, women pay taxes, especially single women, serve in the military, some die in the service of our country, women are property owners, well educated, and many raise their children completely by themselves. When I read posts like yours, it makes me think that perhaps there is a need for a classic liberal movement for men and women who believe in liberty and justice for all, and an equal say in who governs us. I certainly hate to think that I belong to the same side as yours, and I hate even more to think that my sons would believe as you do!

Conservatives should let stand this ruling that the states don’t have to kowtow to federal demands and then use it to show that states can’t be forced to follow EPA rulings, highway laws or abortion laws.

Being that this obviously racist judge supports states rights. (because, recall, states rights is a dog whistle for racism)

The south shall rise again.

What about this one?

§ 1252c. Authorizing State and local law enforcement officials to arrest and detain certain illegal aliens

(a) In general
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, to the extent permitted by relevant State and local law, State and local law enforcement officials are authorized to arrest and detain an individual who—
(1) is an alien illegally present in the United States; and
(2) has previously been convicted of a felony in the United States and deported or left the United States after such conviction,
but only after the State or local law enforcement officials obtain appropriate confirmation from the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the status of such individual and only for such period of time as may be required for the Service to take the individual into Federal custody for purposes of deporting or removing the alien from the United States.
(b) Cooperation
The Attorney General shall cooperate with the States to assure that information in the control of the Attorney General, including information in the National Crime Information Center, that would assist State and local law enforcement officials in carrying out duties under subsection (a) of this section is made available to such officials.

It seems to me that this section authorizes states to inform federal authorities so they can pick up the illegal alien.

It says “authorized.” Not must arrest.
It also says the Attorney General shall cooperate with the states, but nothing about the states cooperating with the Attorney General.

Two big lunatic liberal gaps in the law.
No one would ever have believed this liberal nonsense would be happening now when the law was enacted.

Where did this libtard judge get his law degree - Harvard or Yale?

Both. He's a two-time loser. And, he was born in Puerto Rico.
