A blind man says he wants to read Playboy for the articles but can’t.
On Wednesday, Donald Nixon — who is legally blind — filed a lawsuit against the legendary company’s website, claiming that it was in violation of the American with Disabilities Act, TMZ reported.
Both Playboy.com and Playboyshop.com are allegedly not compatible with Nixon’s screen-reading software, which allows blind or visually impaired users to read the text with a speech synthesizer or braille display, according to the American Foundation for the Blind.
Based on court documents obtained by TMZ, Nixon argued that visually-impaired people could not “fully and equally use or enjoy the facilities, products, and services.”
He reportedly is suing Playboy for violating the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), in hopes to make their website more accessible for the blind, and for unspecified damages, TMZ said.
A representative for Playboy did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Shakedown racket. There are people who raise these ‘access’ lawsuits for hundreds of businesses they won’t ever visit.

My brother lives in New York city and has been having a huge issue with his landlord who harasses the hell out of him trying to get him to leave so he can get more rent (he already pays $2100 for a one bedroom). The guy calls the cops on him, leaves garbage by his door, harasses visitors. So I told him SUE HIM!!! And he’s like “Oh you can’t sue for that” and I told him people sue for ANYTHING so I’m going to send him this article as an example.
So...he wants a pop-up book version?
Which is why we have Braille keypads on drive-up ATMs.
This is how some folks make a living. They have a disability, find a business that can’t accommodate them, then take them to court for violating the ADA laws and damages, then live on what they can take away from the judgement.
He will only read it for the articles, literally.
There are adult videos with description of what is happening on the screen.
Surely his mother warned him of the dangers of Playboy and going blind.

How wouldd you happen to......never mind.
I should not have said ‘can’t accommodate.’ ‘Doesn’t accommodate’ would be more accurate. The court will decide if Playboy could reasonably accommodate the plaintiff with changes to their website and whether they must do so.
