A 6.6 is not a huge earthquake.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It all depends on the depth and intensity. A 6.6 can be more damaging that say a 7.5 if the depth is more shallow.
Their daughter let me know they are OKAY...everything that was in cabinets or on shelves is on floor, but no broken windows.
At least it didn’t happen during the height of the Cruise season.
The natives can deal with these things.
Lots of static from incoming craft, but sounds like they're still trying to handle traffic:
heard from Big Lake. Cracks in the walls, all the kitchen cabinet contents on the floor, and the dog won’t come back in the house. Uncle is in Wasilla and can’t get thru major road, trying back roads now. Cell service back on.
Day and Night and the three phases of twilight which, from lightest to darkest, are called civil, nautical and astronomical twilight. Here's a map showing the areas of light and dark around the world right now:
The 3 twilight phases on a world map
Visibility is still quite good during civil twilight, the period just before sunrise and just after sunset. You can see Alaska in the top left corner.
