[T]he GOP-controlled Senate needs to vote out a series of clean bills on issues that working-class Americans care about in order to show a clear contrast with the Democrats. For example, they should send to the House a number of bills that introduce free market approaches to health care such as Medical Savings Accounts and forcing insurance companies to compete across state lines, a policy that would drive rates downward. Let the Dems vote these bills down and they will.
On the immigration issue, the Senate should send to the house a border security bill that authorizes the construction of a few hundred miles of border wall in heavily populated areas and funds more border patrol officers and immigration judges. With thousands of people heading toward the border in what now appears to be an endless number of “caravans,” border security will be a hot issue for the next few years. It would be very short-sighted not to force the House Democrats to vote on such border security issues. Ditto for bills addressing our broken asylum system, our visa process, chain migration, and anchor babies.
Even on taxation bills — which must originate in the House — House Republicans should put forth a middle-class tax cut which the Democrats loudly claimed to be in favor of while denouncing Trump’s tax cut last year. Despite being in the minority, House Republicans can still, of course, introduce bills and then let the Democrats kill them. In the past, the Republican minorities have introduced watered down bills in an effort to pick up Democrat support. Those days are gone. We’re at war and congressional Republicans need to start acting like it.

I don’t see how any of this matters unless the vote fraud is dealt with. Motor votor and now the felon voting in FLorida. Seems that everything is just a crumbs on the floor and distractions until the Democrats and Republican lackeys can get back to their destructive agenda of techno feudal enslavement full throttle.

All taxation bills must start there. That’s why the house had to vote the exact Obamacare bill to make it lawful to pass

It’s kind of very good news to someone like me who thought we could not originate a bill now.
If dems kill something the senate sends that the people want, and they will, it will be ammunition at election time.
OF COURSE I’d rather have what we need done.
But a killed bill will at least be useful for something.
Could have done a lot of things the last two years.
But the House and Senate would rather huff and puff against Trump.
Too late now.
Republicans in the House are in the minority where I think they’d rather be.
Look for them to be agitating to be placed back in the majority and what they could do. Lies, all lies.

Did a quick search and found that “Theoretically, any bill can start in either of the Houses of the Congress - tax/spending bills need to be sent to the House because they control the purse strings...but if the House starts a Bill, the Senate reviews/amends it and sends it back so they play ping-pong until all the compromises (torts against the People) have been manufactured....or sumpin’ like dat.

Agree on the vote fraud. If we don’t get to this now, we may never win another election.

- Judges, Judges, Judges
- Force through what they can in reconciliation
- block all the idiocy that they House is sure to send along
- Investigate the FISA, Russiagate scandal (or at least let Whitaker do his job)
