Nearly 7 in 10 Democrats in the new House majority are from the East and West coasts, the latest sign of the partys lack of connection with the heartland and South.
And even more dramatic, there will be more Democratic members from liberal California than from 36 other states combined, according to an analysis from the bipartisan Washington firm Mehlman, Castagnetti, Rosen, and Thomas.
Democrats now dominate the coasts, said the election analysis.

Filling out massive numbers of fraudulent ballots is not a legitimate victory.
I wonder if these numbers will shift after the next census. Every democrat from the other 49 states seems to have moved to Texas.
The urban-rural divide is widening.
Unfortunately, the “bluing” of the suburbs and exurbs is accelerating.
All the more reason why we should embrace CalExit.
Ping.
The national urban / rural split is even worse.
“Republicans hold 88 of the nations 100 most rural congressional districts”
and
“Democrats hold 87 of the nations 100 most urban districts”
and
“(Hillary) Clinton carried 88 out of the nations 100 most populous counties and beat President Donald J. Trump by almost 13 million votes in these counties.”

and
“the 88th Congress contained 103 urban seats, 50 suburban seats, 203 rural seats and 79 in the mixed category.”

Those 36 other states will outnumber California senators 72-2. - Tom
It would be nice to put CA on probation without representation for a few years until they get their act together. Sorry to say; CA is spiraling bad.
one of the things not talked about is the fact that in the census everyone is counted when figuring out how many reps a state gets. if illegals and other non resident people were not used to figure representation of a state there was in the house would they be able to control congress.
You give up easy don’t you? One election and you panic.
No panic, just having trouble adjusting to the “new normal”.
The Donks and the SCOPA gerrymandered me out of Scott Perry’s (R-PA) former 4th now 10th District which he held onto by a squeaker.
Some excellent analysis here:
The graphics show how the first ring of suburbs have become blue. If it were not for abysmal voter turnout in the heart of the cities themselves Perry would have been toast.
It wasn’t all that long ago when the red/blue maps would have had blue for ONLY the cities themselves. Now the cancer is spreading.
Dramatically if non-citizens are excluded...
Hence the refugee “crisis” - keeps the average person unaware of the real agenda.
And...
There are more representatives from California than from 20+ of the least populous states.
Thank heavens the founding fathers came up with the one state - two senators rule.
The Dems won a less than a wave number of seats in a very good environment for them by very small margins in a number of seats. Means nothing and will be swept away in 2020.
And they’re bringing their insanity, hatred, communism, violence and socialism with them.
The "Connecticut compromise" was a stroke of genius.

Last I checked, Alaska had a very long coastline. Not to mention that from the border with Mexico all the way to the border with either Virginia or Maryland, the South has a very long coastline.....and that’s solid red state territory.
So no, the Democrats don’t dominate the coasts. They dominate the Left Coast and the Northeast. More than half the coast is actually red rather than blue.
