I inherited another cat recently, after a year or so of putting the stray down I had cared for for three years...This one was abandoned by neighbors who moved out. Even the animal control people contacted them to pick up their cat and they denied it was there’s! I was livid!
So after trying weeks to find her a home, and feeding her throughout, the landlord decided we’d make her a “Proper Security Cat”....who brought to my door three field mice! He has made an opening into the downstairs shed for when I’m not here and will feed her when I’m away. It was a great compromise and she gets to stay where’s she’s familiar.
She’s black and white looks to have a little bit of Siamese in her. Small head and perched ears. And she’s not exactly a lap cat. I’d say a little over a year old. So we get along fine.

Our last hike was Monday...and it was lovely.
