Matthew Whitaker, the acting attorney general of the United States and a former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, said in a 2016 interview that there is enough evidence "in the public domain" to warrant the appointment of a "special prosecutor" to investigate the Clinton Foundation.
He added that the Foundation was "clearly a pay-to-play situation" where if you gave money to the Foundation, you got "preferential treatment" at the State Department, which was headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2013.
Hillary Clinton's emailing of classified documents through her private computer server was a "serious" problem, but the "real ballgame" is "where Clinton Foundation donors were given preferential treatment," said Whitaker in an Aug. 25, 2016 interview with Breitbart News Daily.

Let’s hope he feels the same now.
Another nothing till we have a name.
I am of the opinion that the DOJ should appoint a special prosecutor every time an “investigation” is started by the House.
Everything I see and hear about this guy I like. I hope Trump nominates him for AG. Seems to be fearless, honest and a fighter. Just what we need in that position.
Then do it already, Mr. Acting AG.
SP are outside their budget and require funds from Congress.
I heard somebody say somewhere that he could not be nominated for AG if he is appointed temporarily so he is essentially burned here. I'm sure President Trump knows this going in.
*APPLAUSE*
Do it! Do It! DO IT! MAGA!
An America with BOTH Clintons in prison would be so sweet! :)
Having lost the House, the DOJ should not use a special counsel but simply form an internal task force of non-corrupt prosecutors and investigators. If asked if anything is going on, say “we do not comment on the existence or nonexistence of investigations.”
If they appointed a special counsel, Nancy Pelosi and the Dems would specifically prohibit funding it in the spending bill.
He is going down, no way the Dems will let him serve.
No way!
These comments are the reason the Dems are DEMANDING he recuse himself or step down.
I like this man.
Well theres a perverse incentive for Democrats to approve Trumps AG nominee if I ever saw one, lol. Just get the man some serious protection.
The don’t talk about it, DO IT!
