Don’t pick a politician or a former politician. Pick someone who has been very outspoken against the DOJ

Don't know anything about Ratcliffe, so Kobach would be my pick. The rest, no thanks.

Trump appoints gowdy, I’m done. I am confident Trump is smarter then that after the damage sessions has done.

NOT Gowdy. I used to think so, but no.
He’s a good performer though. Great courtroom scenes and sound bites of righteous anger. He knows how to do that.
If Gowdy underwent a conservative conversion, the way his mentor Lindsey Graham SEEMS to have done, then we can talk.
I thought Gowdy was headed for the private sector anyway.
He always appears so exhausted or exasperated.

Gowdy is a Rubio-Ryan donor class Republican. No thanks. He is a amnesty pimp.

On paper Gowdy may look good but based on past performance he’s not been able to turn the corner on anything. It’d likely be the same as the AG.
I’d prefer to see someone who knows how the DOJ works and also knows where the bodies are buried. While I like the sound of Joe DeGenova digging in I don’t think he’d get confirmed as the official replacement.

We don't need a ‘celebrity’ politician and certainly not Gowdy. I'd like to see a young fresh energetic relatively unknown conservative prosecutor without baggage real or perceived who lusts for draining the swamp and is on the side of law and order.

Hopefully these names are just fodder for the chattering class, and acting Attorney General Whitaker will get the ultimate nod.
