California is a place unlike any other on the Globe. It boasts perhaps the greatest natural resources of any state along with shining high-tech industries. However, like many good economic stories, government policies threaten its future.
Indeed, its government has made California unsustainable.
Of course, it wasnt always this way. As the 1960s came to a close in California, it had a population of nearly twenty million. In the decade before, its economic strength afforded the construction of a vast State Water Project and higher education system that was the envy of the world. Matched with a majestic and trade friendly coastline, along with visionary business leaders, Californias future seemed secured.

It seems like an impossible task.
That said, I would like to see Travis Allen take another run at it. Staunch supporter of President Trump and he's got the drive and charisma to win, if he's given the back up.
The government(s) in California are in denial, and won’t admit that California is the American version of Venezuela. The citizens of California are in the same kind of denial, when they continue voting in the same socialists, believing that things are peachy and getting better.
Nobody can deny that if California was not part of the U.S., that California would have died as a viable country a long time ago, and would be no better off than Venezuela or Cuba or Haiti.
They aren't good enough.
Hillary and democrats brag about having won over 3 million more votes than Trump in 2016. But, California is more representative of the type of governments found in China and Russia and Cuba and Venezuela and other hell(shit)holes around the world.
Take California out of the equation, and democrats would always lose the house and perhaps the senate and the presidency.
California is a deep-seated disease upon the country.
There should be a system in place to evacuate the guards and gas the entire prison. I'm sure the former exists, hold they all get out in time.
Well put.
gas needs to be disbursed strategically depending on the incident, the location of inmates etc. Can’t just send it through a system or vent. Not as effective. In a disturbance or riot there are usually many inmates not involved or in separate areas doing nothing wrong. Lastly such a system would be cost prohibitive.
BTW I was 90 days on the job nightman on a living unit, 1971 Dec 26. 2 hours before I came in they used the most gas ever inside building in Calk history more than when mere locked the door on the students at Berkeley and sent massive amounts of gas inside.
Backup - including $$$. Conservatives should logically have $$ but mostly we hear about commie or Nazi type or other far-leftist money bags funding very far leftist D candidates
We own a small condo in Orange CA, but live in North Dallas.I go back about once a month to ride my KTM Duke 390 and it’s the place I spent 50 years of my life and memories. I’m always excited to go out and more excited to get home. I have the best of both worlds.
People in California are working and barely treading water. Unhappy, they don’t talk to each other, they don’t smile, many don’t even speak English. The freeways are clogged daily, which is why I have a small but powerful motorcycle out there because I can split lanes when I ride into L.A. or to the beach. I wish here in Texas we could split lanes.
And you just have to know that the middle class is unable to save anything for retirement. The young don’t care, they don’t think about retirement but the middle aged and middle class........yeah, their retirement is not looking good. Glade we fled, no state income tax in Texas, gas about a dollar cheaper, groceries much cheaper, much cleaner. Homeless in California is EVERYWHERE. When I ride into L.A. they can be on any corner in any city under any bridge.
“If liberals took their ideals to a state without all of the natural resources and instead had the economy of say, Arkansas, the collapse of the government would have been much, much sooner.”
And that is exactly WHY Socialism, in all of it’s various FORMS is WORKING in America! It won’t die until the money dries up!
OMG! It’s So. Simple! And no one outside of me, Lady Thatcher and President Reagan saw it coming. *Rolleyes*
Thank Goodness President Trump has his finger in the dam...at least...for now. :(
THAT is a frightening picture...
The number ONE reason California is unsustainable is the population is 40 percent WELFARE MORONS, 40 percent SOCIALIST ILLEGAL ALIENS, 10 percent SOCIALIST MILLION AND BILLION AIRS, and only 10 percent NORMAL PEOPLE.
I know, I live here.
The only cure at this state is GUNPOWDER and LEAD.
(both of which a just about illegal in California).
I wonder if MOONBEAM will sue GOD for unpaid taxes on all that carbon?
I wonder why it would never be rebuilt. Certainly a fire perimeter could be cleared around the thing but there arent many trees left to burn.
Wow, thanks!
Expel 30 million illegals and suddenly we’ll have a lot more room, with less pressing need to build more roads, schools, etc., and more of an ability to focus on maintenance and upgrades where required. (Pressure on our environment will be alleviated, too.)
Moreover, loads of sorry little Latin American economies will get an influx of more skilled, disciplined and motivated citizens and employees than they have ever had.
Sure, there will be adjustments as many of our domestic-serving companies will have a reduction in revenue, but the adjustments will be more than offset by savings to the taxpayer—now and for decades to come, as well as the beginning of a return to an appreciation for our Constitution and voting in support thereof.
Agree!
Thanks for the kind invite. Tennessee is a beautiful State.
