Sessions set four goals for his tenure: to reduce the rates of murder, violent crime generally, opioid prescription fraud and drug overdose deaths. He achieved all four... just as impressive has been the refocusing of the departments efforts under Sessionss leadership to protect the liberties of Americans.

Former deep-state AGs standing shoulder-to-shoulder to support their comrade Stealth Deep Stater Sessions - guardian of the status quo.
And these have the gall to use the Voice of the CIA - WaPo.
The smarter move would have for him to resign, not recuse, if he wanted to help clean up the FBI and DOJ. But he put his personal aspirations above good governance, so he didn't resign.
You didn’t even read my post if you think there is even a chance in hell I was calling you an @sshole — unless you work for Fox or MSNBC. Go back and read the transcript of Sessions’ hearing. He went to great lengths to make it clear that he would avoid even an appearance of a conflict of interest.
My opinion is based on him not going after corruption from the former administration — Hillary, Holder, obama, etc.
They don’t deserve a pass. When you give people a pass, you end up with people doing like Brenda Snipes in Broward County, FL. His job was to enforce the law. What is hysterical about that opinion?
I quoted your short post but I didn't read it? There was an inference in my opinion.
If Sessions had been completely honest he would have mentioned the meetings during the hearings when he was questioned at length about Russian contacts. They were laying a trap and he took it by denying any contacts.
He should have been straight with our President going in that he might recuse himself...our President likely has better things to do than listen to his confirmation hearing? It was obvious from what I read at the time that the President was very surprised when Sessions did the recusal.

I actually read the commentary in my local news rag but was unable to locate a link. Really doubt those folks are a “voice of the CIA,” but then most of the media is owned by a same few entities: https://www.forbes.com/sites/katevinton/2016/06/01/these-15-billionaires-own-americas-news-media-companies/#7d1425af660a
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of dialogue related to discussion of the shared commentary and facts contained therein. Makes me wonder if some posters actually read the link or merely shared opinion and insults just ‘cause.
Too many of the comments remind me of the knee-jerk reactions of the 7th-graders I teach in public school. And my husband tells me he works with their parents. Lack of thought process due to yet an undeveloped/underdeveloped frontal lobe.

And just for you, dp0622: your unwarranted, personal attack brings to mind the stereotypical “damn Yankee,” or as my husband observed, “f*ck*ng New Yorker”.
But he ignored the assault on the president
Huge mistake or miscalculation
Her setting up the server outside of protocol in the first place, was a violation.
You’re soft-peddling what she did.
You’re also trying to blame it on underlings.
She knew what was on that server. Why send things to her if she wasn’t going to read them?
About all this amounts to is you defending her because you want to make the case Sessions had nothing actionable.
I disagree with you.
But he ignored the assault on the president

As I instruct my 7th-grade math students: Please refrain from using pronouns until you have identified the subject.
Who is it you reference with “he”? Also, please specify which assault on our President was ignored by whomever you referenced. Why do you suggest “huge mistake or miscalculation”?
Sessions’s failure to break up the tech giants who censored conservatives and conservative viewpoints on the net or do anything to protect free speech.

If Hillary and other Democrats, and Depp State people like Brennan, Comey, and Mc Cabe were dragged off to jail and if the corruption of the Clinton Foundation was shown including how they stole the money that was supposed to go to Haiti, don’t you think it possible that suburban females might at least hesitate or think twice about voting Democrat?

Please respond to the context of my comment rather than a portion of the comment. I was referencing my local newspaper NOT WaPo.
Except Donald Trump's.
No, he manifestly did not. He betrayed his Oath and the President.
He protected his S.E.S. cohorts in the Deep State, and eulogized the persecutors (not prosecutors) whose case against Cliven Bundy was thrown out with prejudice by Judge Navarro!
This is just elitist institutionalists praising and protecting fellow elitist institutionalists.
Not a genuine conservative Constitutionalist in the entire foul lot. They all disgust me.
1. This was your first comment: "My former U.S. Senator served our country well during his tenure as Attorney General. "
2. Your initial post linked to the WaPo.
3. My first comment was regarding how the WaPo is CIA-linked.
4. You respond, "I actually read the commentary in my local news rag but was unable to locate a link. Really doubt those *folks* are a voice of the CIA, but....". I rebut your response with a link.
5. You also respond, "Please respond to the context of my comment rather than a portion of the comment. I was referencing my local newspaper NOT WaPo." Thus, your own comment in (4) above is unclear. By "folks", I inferred that you meant the WaPo. Evidently, you meant your "local news rag". We want clarity - CLARITY! How can anyone respond to you in a coherent fashion when you can't even express your thoughts with clarity? And you have the gall to scold others about the clarity of their posts (e.g. Post 130). Sheesh.
Bless your heart.
OK, your right. I misread Whitaker’s background and thought he was associated with Session, but not before last year.
I stand corrected.
I've never bashed Sessions, I don't think he was great, but I don't think he pushed back as hard as he could or should have. But here's the thing, future AG's will find nothing actionable. And there will be much weeping and wailing.
