Captain Garo Kuredjian: 'There is no threat to the general public' Police say there are "multiple fatalities" after a shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California. Reports say the shooting began at about 23:20 local time on Wednesday at the Borderline Bar and Grill about 40 miles (65km) north-west of Los Angeles.

Officials have confirmed the suspect is now dead, and have said there were at least 11 victims in the attack. At least 200 people were reportedly inside the bar attending a college country music night at the time. "When deputies arrived they heard shots being fired, it was an active shooter situation," Ventura County Sheriff's office spokesman Eric Buschow said. "They entered the location and I can tell you there are multiple fatalities, multiple injuries, among the victims is one of our sheriff's deputies that responded in that initial call, as well as the shooter." Police have said the number of injured is expected to rise.

I’ve got a feeling the shooter is some disgruntled person with a beef about something. The kids that I heard interviewed were all lucid, well adjusted. Also of faith. Whoever this dirtbag was, he caused great harm to people that were truly having a healthy good time.

I watched Anger Management on netflix last night. I noticed a very innocuous line about being in Granada was cut as well as a few others. I’ve noticed it in other movies, too.

California has some of the strictest laws already. Time for more, I guess.

I saw a girl who was there being interviewed this morning. She knew a lot about guns as she grew up shooting. She said it was a black semi auto pistol, possibly a .40 cal.

The media slant was that a submachine gun was used. It probably had one of them high magazine clips that CNN talks about.

I applaud the BBC for writing an article that does not contain the name of the perp. I’m a firm believer that a lot of these “shooters” that self inflict, or leave themselves open to be shot, are just nuts trying to go out in a “blaze of glory.” Take away the glory by not identifying them in the national news, and maybe some of the nuts will do it the old fashioned way of jumping off a bridge or just shooting themselves so no one else will get hurt. No ink!

Don’t doubt it. Mark it down here. The dem house will pass “common sense gun legislation” in 2019. It will die in the senate OR it will get passed with the help of some squishy republicans. Trump will veto it and that will be the theme of 2020.

Then, every time this happens again (and it will) democrats will remind the nation that they would have prevented it and the stupid GOP will fail to speak out - “ yeah, like your laws stop the killing in Baltimore and Chicago?” Count on it.
