Could the line have been cut out of the movie on the channel you were watching? Sometimes they’ll edit movies, either for “offensive” things (e.g. Blazing Saddles) or just to make more time for ads.

I watched Anger Management on netflix last night. I noticed a very innocuous line about being in Granada was cut as well as a few others. I’ve noticed it in other movies, too.
If they edited Blazing Saddles using today’s standards, they wouldn’t get 5 minutes past the opening credits. It would be a very short movie.
