I’ve watched it about 10 times-—he should have given up the mic but HER arm came up and bumped into his hand-—he didn’t shove her or hit her in any way..
.
.
Get some glasses. His arm clearly jerked hers down.
No, his arm came DOWN on hers.
Sorry, wrong
His left arm goes down with force. Please look again.
Watch video in post #7.
When the intern was trying to reach for the mike, Acosta’s left arm gave her a strong shove.
With his left wrist he applies downward pressure on her left bicep to fend off her attempt to withdraw the mic with her left.
He does it twice.
On the second iteration he combines that with a retention maneuver with his right, pulling back on the mic:
He has applied FORCE.
The left has used exotic levels of emphasis on “never use force against a woman”
Alinsky says make the other guy live up TO HIS OWN RULE BOOK.
Are we going to do that..?
Or not..?
There are actually TWO points of contact. One is like you said, but the second is his arm coming down on her arm. Look at her face, what he did to her hurt.
You watch her reaction of disbelief after he holds onto the mic and pushes her arm down, she looks incredulous. I think it was an initial bump at first but he obviously is pushing her arm down bc she has hold of the WH mic, not his mic, it belongs to WH I believe.
When she reached for the mic, he clearly pushed down on her arm. Watch it again.
Acosta pushed down with his ledt arm, trying to break her hold on the mic he refused to relinquish when the PRESIDANT told him to pass it.
Not sure what youre warptching but he used his forearm to resist at 5he very least. He knew the protocol, give up the mic.
“Ive watched it about 10 times-he should have given up the mic but HER arm came up and bumped into his hand-he didnt shove her or hit her in any way..”
Do us all a big favor.
Don’t ever referee any sport, anytime, ever.
Thanks.
He deliberately brought his hand down to block her from grabbing the microphone (which is her job). His job was to follow the rules and give it to her.
NO, he pushed down on her arm.
LOCK
HIM
UP.
BS. Her job was to take the mic. He refused to give it up and used his arm to push her arm down at the elbow thus she lost leverage in taking the mic. It’s quite arguably an assault.
I see her reaching for the mic, and his hand moving down and hitting the inside of her arm. His left hand was in a fist with the index finger pointing out . As she reaches for the mic, his left hand changes from the fist and index finger pose, then deliberately comes down to block her arm.
wrong, as usual.
He batted her arm down. He should have given away the mic. It wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t such an a-hole. Totally justified he’s out.
She must have really “bumped his arm” violently for her head and shoulders to jerk forward, and put her off balance.
It’s surprising a woman that forceful couldn’t have pulled the mike out his hand.
It’s not assault or anything like that. However, I got the sense that she was scared. Not for her life or anything silly like that but she’s a young lady in front of the President of the United States, an office at least SHE probably still reveres and she thinks she screwed up. She probably thought she was going to get fired.o bet she went to Sarah with tears in her eyes apologizing. I won’t be over dramatic and say he physically assaulted her (although he was obviously being more aggressive than the occasion called for) but it really sucks that that happened. All so this puke can be the star of the show. Trump handled him brilliantly. You shouldn’t be at a white house press conference with men in suits and women in dresses and business attire and have to go through that nonsense.
