I guess the fact that she was officially the one in charge of the microphone, not Acosta, doesn't matter since the fascists believe that CNN & Acosta have authority over all Presidential press conferences, not the President and people in the employ of the White House.

When the intern was trying to reach for the mike, Acosta’s left arm gave her a strong shove.
I was hoping Trump was going down there and knock the shit out of him.
Two points.
First, it gives Trump an excuse to get rid of Acosta.
Second, he's giving the left a taste of its own medicine.
Cause you KNOW that if the situation were reversed, they'd be all over Trump like white on rice.
With his left wrist he applies downward pressure on her left bicep to fend off her attempt to withdraw the mic with her left.
He does it twice.
On the second iteration he combines that with a retention maneuver with his right, pulling back on the mic:
He has applied FORCE.
The left has used exotic levels of emphasis on “never use force against a woman”

There are actually TWO points of contact. One is like you said, but the second is his arm coming down on her arm. Look at her face, what he did to her hurt.

I have watched Acosta in many WH Press events where he routinely refuses to follow instructions by press secretary Sara Sanders. He thrives on behaving like a bully.
I’m gonna howl laughing if Acosta’s next gig is on the sidewalk outside the White House fence.
And just for fun Trump should have some huge ex-wrestler type be the one to pass the mic around the room. He’s friends with Vince McMahon.
She made contact with him multiple times - I don’t really see him pushing her...
You watch her reaction of disbelief after he holds onto the mic and pushes her arm down,she looks incredulous. I think it was an initial bump at first but he obviously is pushing her arm down bc she has hold of the WH mic, not his mic, it belongs to WH I believe.
If Trump had done that..?
She would have collapsed in a heap, shrieking.
There would have been lights and siren.
She’d be in a full body-cast.
The ENTIRE US MEDIA would be camped out in front of the Emergency Entrance of the hospital, generators on, klieg lights blinding.
She would earn over a million dollars for her first broadcast exclusive.
They’d interview 100 psychiatrists, video evidence analysts, counselors, lawyers, former police officers, FBI forensic experts, feminists, etc.
The story would last WEEKS, maybe months.

That young intern is about the age of my daughter, and I am disgusted at Acosta’s boorish behavior.
When she reached for the mic, he clearly pushed down on her arm. Watch it again.
Acosta pushed down with his ledt arm, trying to break her hold on the mic he refused to relinquish when the PRESIDANT told him to pass it.
Not sure what you’re warptching but he used his forearm to resist at 5he very least. He knew the protocol, give up the mic.
