Yes, it was too close. We saw several on the way home from voting yesterday and Hubby saw more today that were closer to us. I’m amazed no one was killed here.
It hit just after 1 a.m. so most people were asleep. There was a spankin’ brand new tornado siren put on a power pole that afternoon on the corner of our road and the highway - just .3 a mile from the house. Others have been put up but apparently none of them had been connected to wherever they’re supposed to be set off from. No sirens that night.
We don’t have a safe room and even if we did, I’d be right where I was the other night. At the bedroom window with the camera in hand, getting video. LOL

I hope people show up too. It’s nice meeting different people and fun watching their faces as they walk around checking out everything. And it does make the time go by faster. If they had the new place set up to hang more uniforms, I could clean when not doing a tour and that passes time nicely.
We’re a degree warmer than you are. Not too bad outside now that there’s no breeze. Friday night is when we get cold and we’ll stay pretty chilly after that, especially at night. They’re calling for some nights in the upper 20s. BRRRRR
GRRRRR! Comcast went out for a few minutes, just as I was getting ready to post. Let’s see if it’ll go this time.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Still enjoying decent weather for trips to the lake or is it getting to be winter-gear time?

Shoo, I thought you were already asleep by the time our internet was working again. LOL
Yes, winter is about to pay us a visit at last. We’ve been lucky to make it this long without a freeze so I won’t complain ..... much. :-)
I hope you get a better night’s sleep tonight. The fall time change doesn’t bother me much but the spring change kills me for a couple of weeks. Go figure.
Catch ya tomorrow!

Yep, that sounds pretty winter gear time, alright.
We have hard freezes tomorrow night through the weekend, at least, with highs in the 40s. Not looking forward to it!

Tuesday was so dark and rainy and miserable that I did not go to Pub Nite at all, but stayed home and snuggled with Penny.
The next day dawned crisp and beautiful, so Penny and I went to explore a new rail trail, but it was still inundated with water from the night before.
Eek. Wet Feet!
Cold.
Wet.
