For nearly as long as FBI special counsel Robert Mueller has been investigating Russian election meddling, activists have been planning mass protests.
Hundreds of protests across the US, organized by MoveOn and other progressive groups, are planned to begin if Trump fires Mueller or deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, who appointed him. They would also begin if the president prevents the investigation from being conducted freely, MoveOn says.
Today, those fears may have been realized when Trump asked attorney general Jeff Sessions for his resignation. Sessions, who had recused himself from the investigation, will be replaced by Matt Whitaker, a former US Attorney who has opposed the Russia investigation from the start. Whitaker is reportedly taking control of the probe from Rosenstein.

It’s go time. Either we will continue to bow to the let’s constant intimidation or we will have to have to do the hard work of freeing ourselves from this bondage to the left. Every time they shout and scream a Paul Ryan or a Coker or a Flake turns tail and offers aid and comfort to these thugs. It’s time to liberate ourselves from the left’s tyranny.
“this is not how our system of governance is supposed to operate... .”.
No, it is not. However, it is here, on our door step and these protests, riots, threats and what ever else they bring forward need to be shut down and harshly. It will soon come to a head and I fear the outcome will not be pretty. We are getting close to a civil war and I fear it is not far over the horizon.
Good question. He was already sworn in.
It’s hard to know what will come of this, I just know what I think may happen and think should happen. I think they need to appoint a second special prosecutor to investigate HRC and the Dems along with the DOJ/FBI and those in the Obama WH (eg. Rice, who did all those unmaskings) into the exact same type of investigation under which Mueller was appointed. In fact just to rub their noses in it, if it were me, I’d use almost the exact same letter Rod wrote in appointing Mueller and just replace Trump with HRC and the DOJ/FBI et al. And I’d use the exact same pretext - their exact same words - we have to root foreign influence out of the election process and get to the bottom of what happend in 2016.
If such were to happen, Trump doesn’t have to fire anyone. The new special prosecutor will call Rod in for questioning; thereby exposing officially what we all know to be his many conflicts of interests. He would be forced to resign if he were told he was a target for criminal investigations.
Same goes for Mueller. The SP will need to know all his communications with Comey and other agents. That could put Mueller in check; and potentially he too would resign.
There is little the Dems in the House could do about any of this and they would be more or less forced to eat their own words. Sure they could investigate Trump but they will be on the defensive this time, doing redundant work on top of what Mueller is doing. And because the GOP will no longer be able to investigate the DOJ/FBI when the Dems take over, a Special Prosecutor is pretty much the only option left. Besides which, the DOJ is being investigated and it cannot be allowed to investigate itself. This is perhaps one of those rare instances where a Special Prosecutor is actually warranted due to conflicts by the usual investigative bodies.

Treat it as such

“Now...about Whitaker’s appointment...does he have to be “approved”? “
Nope. Whitaker gets to run the show for the next 210 days. And could have a second 210 days if the Senate were to reject someone that Trump nominates to replace Sessions.
The controlling law is the Federal Vacancies Reform Act 1998:
“(1) the first assistant to the office of such officer shall perform the functions and duties of the office temporarily in an acting capacity subject to the time limitations of section 3346;
“”§3346. Time limitation
(1) for no longer than 210 days beginning on the date the vacancy occurs; or..
“(b) (1) If the first nomination for the office is rejected by the Senate, withdrawn, or returned to the President by the Senate, the person may continue to serve as the acting officer for no more than 210 days after the date of such rejection, withdrawal, or return.
I believe it’s still “temporary”..
“Trump isnt going to remove Rosenstein. “
That’s a moot point with Whitaker now in charge of DOJ.
Sessions was recused, Whitaker isn’t, so Whitaker takes over control of Mueller from Rosenstein.
.. and Whitaker should be able to make public whatever information he thinks is suitable. This could get interesting.
These crazy people actually think Trump is Hitler because their professors and the msm have convinced them of it.
It’s like bizzaro nazi world where everything’s backwards.
Paid activists are gonna protest no matter what happens. So nothing is gained by putting off what needs to be done. If it gets violent, it’ll make for good TV.
Next step: expose George $oro$ as the funder of the MoveOn / Antifa goons. If any violence breaks out, arrest the perpetrators and force $oro$ to bail them out. It's a good thing for you that you aren't a "fox News contributor" because you would be banned from Fox for that kind of talk about Soros
Don't take my word for it, just ask Judicial Watch.
Only Soros cares, with his rat friends.
Doing his best to create a new Reich.
I noted he was appointed under the Federal Vacancies Act earlier this evening.
Same socialist assh@les who supported the fraudulent witchhunt of Justice Kavanaugh.
