Fun fact for you, President Trump just pulled off what only 4 other Presidents did in 105 years. He gained Senate seats in a first midterm.

Every other President who did so had a unique set of facts helping them. Trump’s victory is unprecedented.

This was always going to be a tough fight. It’s never going to be easy and there never is gong to be a safe haven.

Liberty requires constant fighting.

Oh, Reagan lost 27 House seats in his first midterm in 1982. His poll numbers were just about where Trumps are now. He went on to win 525 electoral votes 2 years later.

"I have an acquaintance here in FL who is in her late 40s, and came here in the early 90s from a communist country. She hates socialism and illegal immigration and can talk all day about the ills of both.

BUT. After the school shooting in FL, she became completely anti-gun. She was going to vote for Gillum last I heard because he opposed guns. She didn’t care about socialism, just wanted gun control. Idiot.

THANK YOU FOR THAT.

When the 17th amendment was passed it was due to massive corruption and bad management in the state legislatures. Elimination of the amendment is not a cure all but it is something to look at seriously as they were state employees who were tasked with hosing down the goofballs in the house and protecting the state from them.

Country may need some more pain before the voters come to their senses.

Ditto.

Here’s what I’d do if I were President Trump...

1. Announce that he’ll be just as open to legislation from the House as the Democrats were to confirming Justice Kavanaugh - which means an instant veto of anything the House puts forth. Treat them exactly like the RATS would have treated us.

2. Recall the soldiers. Recall ICE and announce that the border to California is now open to anyone who wants to come in. Let California be FLOODED with illegals. Enjoy the carnage.

My two cents:

*Could have been better, could have been worse.

*Ok, RATS, you barely have the House. Now what?

*The Senate, OTOH, is going to become an even more productive judge confirming factory.

*The coronations for the true freaks like Gilliam, Abrams and O’Roarke were cancelled. That bodes VERY well, as any of them could have been “Obama 2.0” in 2020.

*Back to the House: This result isn’t that much worse than a very narrow GOP hold. With a narrow GOP hold you’re at the mercy of the NeverTrump RINO Cucks who The Don couldn’t go full nuclear on, but would have voted against The Don at every turn.

*In closing, I look at lifeforms: The illegals, the “not from here”s, the deadhead burnouts, the cat ladies, the Feminazis, the soy chugging Cuck fags, etc., etc., etc. It’s a lost cause. And there is only one solution.

Beto had coat tails (though he lost) in urban areas across Texas.

It looks like the Californians moving to Texas are more liberal than not, and that is reflected in the GOP losses at state level (in addition to the House races).

The 2020 election won’t have a Beto, unless he actually lied when he said he isn’t running for Prez. I don’t know if the Dem enthusiasm will be as high if Biden or Shillary is the Dem presidential candidate.

Election results from suburbs, where college educated women predominate, show otherwise.

I’m aware Nashville is very liberal. Transplants, yutes, etc. That makes Blackburn’s victory all the more impressive and bodes well for the GOP in 2020.

I am all in for Blackburn, actually I wanted her to run for president. What I was talking about was “firebrand” conservatives who take no prisoners. Blackburn never harshly attacks anyone or pushes her agenda in your face. That is why she won by defeating the incumbent.

haha, at their own peril.

Actually I am looking forward to the Rats pursuing impeachment for next 2 years. That will guarantee Trump gets 4 more years.

honest question...

what rat is going to defect to advance the republican agenda?

the rats are good at a few things..

Getting big donations from the 1% they claim to hate.
Marching in lockstep.
Over playing their hand.

Build a wall.. just change course and wall off the West Coast instead. Then let the illegals pour in and watch the leftists suffer.

“what rat is going to defect to advance the republican agenda?”

None.

The 40-ish NeverTrumpers that retired threw the House to the RATS. Fact. The outcome could have been much worse.

It happened as you called it. I trust the Donald to navigate the new house. At least he will see the enemy straight on instead of forked tongue ryan as speaker. The senate will be a better place to end game any crazy moves by the Dems and expose the Dems promise the moon deliver nothing.

I’m just sick to my stomach this morning. I don’t see that Walker has conceded, though?

And what’s up with our AG Race? Again, really heartsick. I knew Tammy was going to win, and all in all she’s not motivated to do REAL damage to Wisconsin, but now she might feel differently.

On the bright side, WI Pubs will still have the House and the Assembly. If Evers is seated, we’ll see if he can reverse anything; it’ll be like rolling a boulder uphill for him.

I expect WI to get more and more expensive. I won’t be effected; I’m retired, have no debt, etc. but I see jobs and businesses going away as they had until Scott Walker showed up. Grrrr!
