NBC said on Monday morning that it will no longer air an immigration ad from President Donald Trump, widely derided as racially divisive, that aired during the network's NFL coverage on Sunday night.
"After further review, we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible," said Joe Benarroch, a spokesperson for NBC's advertising sales department.
NBC came under fire for airing the commercial during its Sunday NFL coverage of a game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers.
The ad aired 18 times across multiple networks. It also aired on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Monday morning.
CNN had declined to air the commercial.

Have Lou Barletta do it. Because God knows he isn’t going to beat Bob Casey here in PA. May as well use his remaining war chest to do some good.
What is racist, and Disgusting, and even terrifying is that CNN will veto these types of political ads.
What? are we going to be like Sweden, where journalists are ARRESTED for trying to publish news about a rape by an arab muslim?
Are we supposed to become like England, where Pakistani Inmigrants, regardless of age, are euphemistically called ‘youths’ while they are gang banging underage girls and plying them with drugs. Over 1,000 poor girls, and all the news say is that ‘youths are grooming them’
ARGGHHHH.
Stop the racism of CNN, stop this right now before it gets worse.
Support FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, Support FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!
CNN what you have done is DISGUSTING!
Like in the courtroom:
In fact, you really wanted to see her suffer in anguish and pain like all you victims. Isn’t that right?
“I Object!”
Question withdrawn you Honor.
The MESSAGE is SENT. TOO LATE!
Can’t the network be fined or something? Who the hell are they to ban Republican ads yet air lying rat ads?
“Here in Minneapolis I see endless democrat ads saying Republicans will take away healthcare and will stop coverage for everyone with a pre-existing condition. But those lies are ok.”
The Wisconsin ‘Rats are running similar ads against Governor Walker. Lies. Lies. Lies. He’s GOT Legislation in the tube to alter the language of our state program to ENSURE pre-existing conditions ARE covered.
Our Lt. Governor is Diabetic! Governor Walker is working to take away her health care? *SNORT*
But, you know, don’t let the FACTS get in the way!
*Rolleyes*
I hate these people. I want them ground to DUST!
Vote! Vote! VOTE! :)
“Racially divisive”
So now Honduran is a race, huh?
It’s a Patriots vs Packers election eve game
Cowboys play tonight, so they’ll get decent ratings.
The only thing i see wrong is that he wasn’t hook up the electric chair getting zapped. Either that or some cop should be manually inserting a bullet in his forehead.
You know what was really wrong with this ad? It makes the left look bad. There’s nothing else wrong with it. It’s not as bad as the Willie Horton ad. It’s not worse than pushing grandma off the cliff had. In fact, this ad has the advantage of actually being true.
But those ads help the Democrats.
even though idiot Romney doesnt agree.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Romney sides with them, even if he does wear an R jersey.
NBC can’t handle the truth.
While this may all be true unless the network requires your advice and consent what does it matter to citizens like me who dont care for your show?
The pseudo-intellectual, dysfunctional types in the mass media, seeking to ram a form of neo-Nazi PC strictures down our throats, have abandoned any form of self-restraint, when the President cannot even run a paid ad to address our people.
Taking out an ad on NBC would be like watching a blank screen.How many viewers do they have?It doesnt seem to be worthwhile.
Pennsylvanians would rather have brain-dead Bob Casey?
Trump should schedule a nationwide address and then run his ad in the middle of it.
Names can be a powerful thing.
That’s why I still am looking for Meghan to run for Daddy’s seat when Kyle steps down.
