House Speaker Paul Ryan pleaded with President Trump in a phone call to tout the booming economy rather than continue attacking the migrant caravan in Mexico in the final days before Tuesday’s midterm elections, according to a report on Monday.
The Wisconsin Republican reached out to Trump on Sunday and urged him to change his message but the president said his focus on immigration is firing up his supporters, Politico reported.
“Trump has hijacked the election,” a senior House Republican aide told Politico about Trump’s attention on immigration. “This is not what we expected the final weeks of the election to focus on.”

By keeping wages down.
By upping unemployment in inner cities - upping the cost of welfare, subsidized housing and prison upkeep... People with jobs don’t commit as many crimes... and they pay their way.
By allowing Americans to invest in BETTER schools and BETTER teachers rather than building MORE schools for the sake of ilegal’s children.
Allow us to repair existing roads rather than being forced to build MORE because of all the excess people on our roads.
Allow car insurance rates to go DOWN because illegals don’t bother to buy car insurance and we ALL pay for their car accidents.

The president talks and brags about the economy at length every rally.
He quotes the latest economic indicators such as unemployment, employment overall and by minority grops etc., etc.

I predict (rather easily) that shortly after the new year Paul Ryan will announce he is taking some cushy job in the private sector that is associated with the government. His salary will be in the millions.

I don't think he is brain dead; I think he is working for the other team and a major reason the House GOP majority is in such jeopardy. He will be well rewarded by the Uniparty in January.
He's not dumb. He's reflecting the establishment position. They are not yet defeated, they have just gone underground. What he's saying is "we establishment puppet RINOs support unlimited illegal immigration but we cannot say that because every time we try to hint at it our voters hand us our butts. So we have to pretend to be against it. We'd rather just not talk about it at all so we don't have to lie on the record but Trump keeps talking about it. We hate that."

This was lunacy in 1965, when we replaced an America affirming immigration policy with one that placed the pursuit of "diversity" above all others.
