So, he places the value of newborns on the same level of slaves from years ago.
Yep. He’s a Democrat.
Just another non-man trying to kiss up to his superiors: pro-abortion feminists. By doing this he has rejected his humanity and his masculinity.
Normal men would go to battle to protect their children. Obviously he is not a normal man.
Hoping that one day he gets bonked on the head, and is declared a non-sentient being, and gets what he asked for.
Why would anyone want to kill a newborn, instead of putting it up for adoption?
Shades of Nazism.
Next up the elderly, indigent, mentally retarded, disabled, and political prisoners.
If the left wants to scream Nazi, they should look at themselves.
Dear Mr. Professor. No, newborns can’t be killed ethically. Your problem is that you are an evil, twisted and otherwise reprehensible person in danger of the Judgment of God, which you deserve. You need to repent and place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
News articles today read like a “coming attractions” banner. Isn’t our post-Christian society lovely and getting lovelier.
This man is not cognizant of any morals, so theres that.
If being sentient is the standard then this guy is fair game.
Death cult. Is it any wonder islaum and leftists have united for a time?
Sentient is an irrelevant strawman
The tentacles of POS Alex Jones should not be allowed to blemish this great site. Here is another link to this old story (Alex must be hurting looking for more cultists) from a legit site:

The videos that confirmed to me that Alex Jones is an absolute fraud and piece of garbage:

The Nazis believed this.
The middle step of his logic is accurate: newborn babies are morally equivalent to a fetus. The logical flaw is with his starting point and with the direction of his logic. A decent human being would reach a very different conclusion:
1. Newborn babies cannot ethically or morally be killed, because they are innocent and fully independent human beings.
2. Unborn babies who could survive outside the womb are morally and biologically equivalent to a newborn baby, which is clearly a person.
3. Therefore, unborn babies cannot ethically or morally be killed either. They also are human beings. The point at which this becomes a moral question rather than one of logic is unclear - one can debate whether stopping a pregnancy becomes immoral when the baby is viable, when it has a heartbeat, at implantation, at fertilization, or at intercourse - but that point is clearly reached before birth.
What an arrogant asshole to use a word like “sentient” anyway, not to mention he’s an idiot. A newborn will cry at the discomfort of a dirty diaper or being hungry, or cold, or hot, so they do have feelings.
Sick.
Just wow.
And when my daughter was a newborn, while the nurse was holding her and talking to her, I said something, and her head just whipped right around and looked right at me.
Not sentient my foot.......
I would propose that this “professor” is not sentient.
So people who are not aware of themselves because they are under anesthesia can be morally and ethically killed?
Or people who are in comas and are not aware of themselves can be killed?
What about when people are sleeping? We cant know what is going through their minds? Maybe nothing at all, so its all good. They can be killed?
What about animals? What sense of self do they have? Can we kill them too?
This professor was born in the wrong decade and the wrong country. He would have made a perfect NAZI.
And just like that another abortion promoter undermines their own argument. /s
Besides, he’s in left field.
“THE NEW THINKING: In his revolutionary book, The Interpersonal World of the Infant, psychiatrist Daniel Stem challenged the conventional wisdom on infant development by proposing that babies come into this world as social beings.”
That book was published in 1985.

Princeton University has an endowed chair and Peter Singer an philosopher and ethicist with enormous clout has been advocating this for over 25 years.
