Appearing far older than his years, with white hair, bent back, sunken eyes, and a shrill voice that often cracked and stuttered terribly while speaking, former president Barack Obama stood before an audience of just 500 and put on a display that left many wondering if he was okay.
To have so few willing to see and listen to him these days has to be jolting for the political media darling. But then to have those few seeing him so diminished, so unable to even read from a teleprompter like he used to, has to be many times more discouraging.

Simple answer: Trump has been living rent-free in this moron’s head for almost two years.
He could never do the impromptu very well. Trump does it too well. Never a vocalized pause. Obama is nothing but stammering and ahs and ohs and aAAAs. He was always a terrible speaker. Just a puppet. An empty suit in an empty chair.
Now his voice is shrill and his ideas coarse and mundane. His venues are away from any place where there would be a hint of resistance.
He should never have served a second term.

As president or presidential candidate, he used to have massive resources behind him, ranging from scriptwriters to people who would smooth the way before him. When Palin campaigned on her own for candidates she supported, after McCain’s defeat, without the benefit of presidential campaign resources, she also seemed rough around the edges. The thing with Obama is that he’s naturally lazy, so the hectic campaign schedule has probably made things worse, given the lack of armies of presidential factotums at his beck and call that he used to have for running errands.
Coke or methamphetamine is my guess.
The “you been had, you been hoodwinked, you been bamboozled” bit is actually from Spike Lee’s Malcolm X biopic, and ironically, was a statement urging blacks to stay away from partisan politics, including Democrats.
Pretty sure he’s suffering from food poisoning -— he ate a bad weenie.

The Presidency ages people very badly.
But I think we are seeing the “real” Obama - without speechwriters, policy analysts, consultants, mock questions, make-up artists, teleprompters - all designed to make him look good on TV
He returned to his “real self” pretty quickly.

I watched it. To me it looked like Obama was doing a twisted Richard Pryor stand-up without the comedy. It was really weird and this desperate fool is clearly crushed that Trump drop kicked his legacy into the dumpster. What a corrupt loser.

His hair is a bit more grey, but he didn’t appear sunken eyed or hunched over to me, and his inarticulate raving was no different than it was years ago whenever he’d have to speak without a prompter.
