As a Jew who attends synagogue every Shabbat, and as an advocate for the carrying of concealed weapons, I fervently pray we will not need armed guards at American synagogues. America's uniqueness has been exemplified by the fact that Jews do not need armed guards in their synagogues.
May it always be so.
Even if you don't love Jews -- if you only love America -- you need to fight anti-Semites. As the Jews go, so goes the fate of the nation in which they live.

It's horrendous what happened in Pittsburgh (11 dead, many wounded). What happened in Sutherlands Springs First Baptist late last year was also unspeakably evil -- 26 christians slaughtered and 20 wounded. The Pittsburgh massacre is getting special treatment because the Left wants to paint Trump as an Anti-Semite. Trump and his administration much demonstrate compassion and justice in light of these false charges.
However, I can't sit silent in the face of Prager's myth-making. I don't recall where in the Bible the rejected Jews are protected by a Cain-like curse (Genesis 4:15). The truth is that modern Jews are NOT God's chosen people. This lie is repeated ad nauseam by people who have not read the New Testament (Covenant). The "promise" Jews claim was made to Abraham and to his seed, not to them per se. Paul explains:
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. (Galatians 3:18)
The promised seed is Jesus Christ and all who are in him.
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)
I expect Jews to totally reject this. But, Christians should stop being deceived and let scripture inform them.

I kept thinking how this comports with our sense of justice the righteous die and the wicked live and I reproached God for it.
I will never accept this was just or deserved and we deserve better from the Judge Of All The Earth.
Humans may have free will but a world where evil prevails over good isn’t a world I can ever be at peace with.

In both of these cases antisemitic Islamists targeted strangers simply because they were Jewish.
there was another case (while Obama was president) in which some people were shot (not Jewish) but Jews were targeted (the parking lot of a synagogue or community center or something, I don’t have full recall this morning).

I am pretty sure Jesus said some things about Jews that would make a real WHite Nationalist blush. I seem to recall “Brood of Vipers” and “Synagogue of Satan”. I also recall the prophet writing “...and I heard the Spirit of The Lord depart from Israel...”. A lot of folks seem to be trying to make political points from Theology which seems to me a real bad idea for all sides.
When the fascists/communists parading as democrats threw out any references to God at their 2012 National Convention such anti-Americanism remarks who’s Constitution “One Nation under God” professes indirectly “We are all Gods children”. Racial divisive remarks and reactions should be expected from them.

Yes it has, just not eleven killed at once. Which doesn’t change the fact that the US is the safest country in the world for Jews, perhaps save Israel. We’ve had a lynching, one, just over a century ago. The Democrat Governor ended his career by pardoning Leo Frank posthumously. Not a good political move. And we’ve had a pogrom, one, two if you count the harlem riots in the 1930s, I don’t since whites were equally targeted. The instigator of the Crown Heights pogrom is a darling of the left, national news personality, and a regular at the Obama White House. Go figure.
