A poll from Emerson taken two weeks ago showed him springing out to a seven-point lead but some of the demographic results there seemed … unlikely.
How about a new one from Reuters-Ipsos showing Heller up six? Do we have a trend?
Heller with a bigger lead in Nevada than Cruz has in Texas, huh? Although there does seem to be something of a trend in the Nevada polling over the last six weeks. Here was the state of play before today’s new data from Reuters. The table shows the oldest surveys at the bottom, the newest at the top:

Exactly! Most Republicans I’ve known for decades here in Texas do not respond to pollsters. ...My land line has been ringing like crazy for several weeks; maybe 25 times a day. I just don’t answer the phone for a month or so before an election. ...That explains the Beto v. Cruz polls, too.
I remain a registered Independent. Mostly that is to avoid categorization. I continue to contribute donations to the Trump campaign, but they shared their address list with the RNC. I can not tell you all of the mailings and calls I have received to renew my membership with the RNC, of which I was never a member. Then there are the mailings that misrepresent the actual sender. Look for the small r n c label hidden on the back page. lol
I have had some cautious conversations with acquaintances. One fellow started by calling Mr. Trump a clown, then adding that he voted for him. But the conversation went down hill from there. When I tried to counter with facts, he let me know that he has a former-cia friend that gives him the real scoop as to what is happening behind the scenes. Another Never trumper from the deep state, no doubt.
