Stephen King once wrote a book about a man who could tell the future by touching people and he shook hands with a politician then saw a future so terrifying that he tried to assassinate the guy. The book itself wasn’t that good but there was a chapter in it where the future politician was working another job as a traveling salesman and he clubbed a dog to death or something like that. He was scared, not about what he did to the dog but that someone might have seen him and he didn’t want to do anything to hurt his political viability because he thought it was his destiny to be a leader someday.
Years later when Bill Clinton burst on the national scene and it turned out that he had written a letter trying to get out of the draft in a way that wouldn’t hurt his future political ambition I was surprised that Stephen King never brought up that eerie coincidence. In fact I never remember Stephen King saying anything about any Democratic presidential candidate ever, which is why I don’t read his books or care about anything he has to say anymore. The last book of his I read was Pet Sematary.

I was a huge fan but all of his stuff started getting formulaic. That said, I read and listened to 11 22 63 and I think it’s very good. Notwithstanding, he is a liberal idiot and what’s quoted in the article as passing for profundity... well, it speaks for itself

Be afraid - be VERY afraid.

Boogeyman Donald Trump is coming for you, grifters and double-dealers and secret double agents....

For Casey, mighty Casey, has struck out.

Not at a ball diamond, but from its lair in a rattlesnake den.

Stephen King slithers about like the demon-snake in “Beetlejuice”, frightening the unsteady and those weak of will.

Reading King's Twitter feed is like diving into a sewer. I'm astonished at what a bitter, unkind man he's become. Maybe it was always in him and he's just let it out the past ten years. I don't know, but there's something not right about him. He's a greatly troubled and very nasty piece of work.

Yes if you are a Leftist globalist like King, you SHOULD be afraid that after some 70 years of unchecked poltical dominance around the world, someone is finally shining the light under the rock you cockroaches live under.

I’m afraid that the dems will finally start shooting innocent people because they lost at the polls - Polls that they worked so hard to rig in the first place.

In my enemy controlled state of Pennsylvania they cheated the Philly polls so bad that some polls had 0 actual turn out (A freeper scouted one a few years back) and neighborhoods were getting 120% of voter turn-outs.

I’m afraid that the PA gerrymandering case will throw the counts off so far (The new district maps are INSANE)

PA is the front lines and we’re barely holding back the hordes.

"Be afraid."

The single lamest and most predictable thing any celebrity in history has ever said about anything, yet the HuffPost was impressed enough to write an article about it.

This is absolutely funny and so hypocritical. The Left’s campaigns have been nothing but fear for decades. Remember the little girl with the daisy and the nuclear blast in the background; or granny being pushed over the cliff; or the ever favorite, scaring Blacks with taking away their rights and putting them back in chains if Republicans win. King may be a good fiction writer, but outside that, he is just another brainless Liberal who lives in fiction world.

"The only thing we have to offer is, fear itself." -- Democrats "

" if there’s some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it" Pelosi

To be clear: Collateral damage means to harm persons/something that is beneficial to society.
Which leaves out deplorable.

Give him a break, will ya? That’s his first draft. He puts the first draft in a drawer for 6 weeks and brings it out again to edit (true, said so in his “On Writing” book). Give him another 6 weeks and it’ll be something different.

the nation wanted ‘change’- They wanted a both a ‘first black man to hold office’ and a ‘rock star’- and the msm portrayed him as such- Just like the nation is going to demand change again, either electing the ‘first gay person’ or ‘first woman’ as president sometime soon-

Unfortunately, the majority of people don’t vote based on substance- they vote on appearance- on trends- Obama was an unknown ineffective senator that hardly even voted in congress- Yet the country embraced him simply because he was black, and the country wanted to give the impression that they were hip and politically correct- instead of voting based on credentials, like they should have- Had they taken his ineffectiveness in government position previously, they would not have supported him- how coudl they? He was a failure then, it shoudl have been obvious he woudl be a failure as president-

But the really sad part was, that after the first 4 years of damage to the country, high unemployment, super high gas prices, food prices etc- the country elected him again-

It’s bad enough they elected him based only on appearances, thinking they were hip trend setters- but my goodness- it was absolutely horrible that they elected him for a second term after the damage he did to this country- my goodness- ‘Leading from behind’? Seriously? Our country thought that that kind of sissy touchy feely pacifism was worth electing again? I got seriously worried about this country’s ability to do the right thing after watching that socialist get elected for a second term, let alone a first term

Fox interviewed a woman on the street and asked why she voted for obama a second time- and she got a crap eating grin on her face and said “So I can get me sum of Dat obama-money”

When asked where she thought that money would come from, she got that crap eating grin again, and shrugged her shoulders, and said “It’s just free, dats all”

Yes, I got seriously worried about this coutnry’s ability to choose the right leader after hearing tha

Stephen King was chosen by the elites to propagate their message. That’s why he is still promoted as a light of culture.

Good summary and I agree 100%. He was by far the most liberal senator in the U.S. Senate. He got elected to the Illinois statehouse by the dirtiest of dirty tricks. He brought Cook County thug politics with him to Washington and was never once called on it by the MSM.

I thought he had 0% chance of getting re-elected and I was floored when he won a second term. Like you, I thought that was the demarcation point signifying the end of the Republic.

That woman you cited was indeed shocking, but it was even worse than you remembered. Ken Rogulski, WJR News, interviewed some people waiting on line at the Cobo Center in Detroit to apply for stimulus money (transcript courtesy of Rush Limbaugh):

KEN ROGULSKI: Why are you here?
WOMAN: To get some money.
ROGULSKI: What kind of money?
WOMAN: Obama money.
ROGULSKI: Where's it coming from?
WOMAN: Obama.
ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get it?
WOMAN: I don't know. His stash. I don't know. I don't know where he got it from but he's giving it to us, to help us. We love him. That's why we voted for him. Obama! Obama!

Great civics education here, especially in the ghetto, huh?
