Democrats are struggling to respond to President Trump and his Republican allies, who are casting the caravan of thousands of migrants headed toward the U.S.-Mexico border as a failure of Democrats to help enact immigration policy in the GOP-controlled Congress.
Some Democrats said Trump is vulnerable to a counterattack on his core campaign issue given that his policies failed to reduce the number of unauthorized immigrants. Yet party leaders and Democratic candidates have largely been silent ahead of the midterm elections, refusing to engage with Trump.
The Democratic and Republican strategies reflect the path each party has charted with two weeks till Nov. 6. Republicans are hoping to retain their Senate majority and limit losses in the House by playing on fears of migrants pouring into the country to rally conservatives, a strategy that helped propel Trump to the presidency in 2016.
Democrats, deeply divided on immigration, are trying to maintain a laserlike focus on health care and the GOP threat to protections for people with preexisting medical conditions, envisioning that as the issue that will determine control of Congress.
On Monday, Trump launched a fresh attempt to deflect blame for the more than 5,000 migrants from Honduras who were making their way north through Mexico. The president and his top aides say the rising number of Central Americans attempting to enter the United States without authorization presents a winning campaign issue, by showing Trump is right to call for stronger border control.

The reason for the latest DNC talking point -- about the ComPosts's own Jamal Khashoggi -- was to change the subject from the downward spiral of the Tidy Bowl Wave, down, down, down the memory hole, and the astroturf illegals. So, the ComPost will concentrate their coverage on how **** the Demwits' election chances are.
I think the invasion caravan might actually help us on Election Day. I’m sure that like Kavanaugh it’s meant to do the opposite but... how many voters are feeling positive about this?

Idiot Democrats are indeed struggling with this issue. I went to the DUmp today just to see what their take on it is. And yes I took a shower afterward. They basically are blasting Trump for withholding aid to those countries like Honduras who are sending these invaders. But the invasion itself?
Crickets. They have nothing to say about that. And what can they say? They know it would be a political and economic disaster just as anybody else. But they won’t admit it.
People with pre-existing medical conditions (what the f is pre-existing?? It exists, or it doesn’t. It never pre-existed) are MORE susceptible to typhus and other diseases the illegals bring.
The “Abolish Ice” and sanctuary city people are upset? F them.
100,000? I don’t think so. I think you are way off the actual target there. And the press will not even admit to such a number. Even today they are reporting 4000 and 5000. So as to keep this from blowing up as a national critical issue.
This whole issue has been staged, organized, and orchestrated by communist money and aided by Democrat stupidity in bucking Trump’s reform efforts.
These people are being manipulated by subversives promising them mountains of “free stuff” like welfare, free medical care, food stamps, and a “better life”. Unfortunately, they aren’t going to find it here.

Pre-existing means the condition existed before the insurance policy was issued.
That is the entire idea about insurance. A person pays into the insurance fund when they are healthy so that they are covered when they get sick or have an accident.
You do not need insurance if you can sign up for it after you get hurt or get sick.
When you can do that, you only need pay premiums after you get hurt, then stop paying premiums as soon as you are cured.
All insurance companies go broke shortly after that, because there would not be any need for insurance.
