Donald Trump has ordered the military to be on alert over a US-bound migrant caravan as he declared a national emergency.

Referring to the caravan from Honduras, the president tweeted: "Sadly, it looks like Mexico's Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States.

"I have alerted Border patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency."

He added that the US would begin "cutting off, or substantially reducing aid" to three Central American countries.

You do realize that a POTUS can’t just use the military within our borders unless it’s a national security issue. He gave Mexico a chance to respond. He’s dotting his ‘i’s and crossing his t’s’.

Send as many troops to the border area as it takes to convince the Mexicans that we are ready to invade. Start blowing up the infrastructure in Mexico that leads to the border. The Mexicans will stop the caravans at that point. No body dies on purpose.

Run a flow of aircraft from their to Soto Cano Airbase (Palmerola) in Honduras. Give each detainee one MRE and some water. Send an MP Battalion down there to handle receiving the planes.

Run busloads outside the gate, disembark the detainees, and remove their zip ties. Tell them Adios. Mexicans too. <<<<<
