Thousands of illegal aliens are swarming the Texas border this month in advance of the migrant caravan marching through Mexico, prompting Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr., the Customs and Border Patrol Sector Chief of the Rio Grande Valley, to beg for help dealing with the onslaught of illegal aliens, gang members and drug cartel smugglers. Just on Saturday over 700 illegal aliens were caught, with over 12,000 caught in the past three weeks. In addition, safe houses have been busted and drug smugglers intercepted by the overstretched CBP in the Rio Grande Valley.
16,000 family units were reported caught in the last month in the RGV sector by CBP. All these illegals take manpower and resources to detain, process, house, clothe, feed, and give medical treatment.
Padilla sent out several tweets this weekend with the message, We need #personnel #technology #infrastructure, in conjunction with video reports by on scene Fox News Channel reporter Griff Jenkins. Another busy day with @GriffJenkins in #RGV South Texas. Over 12,700 illegal alien arrests in past 3 weeks. nearly 800 pounds of marijuana & almost 70 pounds of peyote just yesterday We need #personnel #technology #infrastructure #HonorFirst
Our #BorderPatrol Agents face challenges daily while focusing on our #BorderSecurity mission and our #HumanitarianEfforts #RGV South Texas is in need of #personnel #technology & #infrastructure for both mission sets #HonorFirst @GriffJenkins @FoxNews #DayInTheLife

I remember Jorge Bush called volunteers down on the border helping monitor and calling border patrol...vigilantes.
I remember Jorge Bush allowing two of our border agents to be prosecuted and thrown in jail for shooting a drug mule in the butt.
I don’t think they are staying in hotels.
I suspect the Obama influx over the last 2-4 years of his Administration logistically placed many throughout the nation posing as safe houses for future influx of enemy immigrants.
It is textbook Al Quada Modus Operendi.
I would observe Latino neighborhoods and influx of people and supplies. BTW, the folks I observed hadn’t been in the country for more than maybe a week or two.
I have no problem with recent or older immigrants who seek to make a home in the US and our government. The ones who are problematic are those who have no intention of changing their political perspectives from foreign governance unless they become El Hefe. Thay is a major weakness in immigrant Latino culture.
They don’t sincerely believe in the Bill of Rights nor in inalienable rights.
It isn’t always manifest when they are in the lower tiers of society, because from their perspective, they simply are obeying El Hefe.
When they obtain authority, though, they expect their juniors to respect them as El Hefe, but without inalienable rights.
Remember the Minute Men.. GWB venimously called them vigilantes.
Yes.
Ask Japan, Iran, China and many others if it would be ok to go into their borders and get welfare and just hangout. They have strict security and military enforcement—because they are nations with borders. What a concept.
The cartels only operate because of the moneys they get from westerners, particularly Americans and Canadians. The drug users in this nation have innocent blood on their hands and must share in part of the blame of the cartels operating as they do in Mexico and the rest of Central America. Yes, I’m sure there are drug users in those lands as well but these cartels get their main money from us and Canada as well as western Europe. If American drug abusers suddenly all got clean, got saved, got shot, or died in one mass overdose then these cartels would be money starved and destroy themselves fighting each other.
I have no compunctions in telling a drug user that he or she has innocent blood on their hands, that their addiction is not a victimless crime other than what the addiction does to them personally. They are the anchoring point of a very long chain of connected crimes of money, political corruption and murder! I do make some distinctions in the addictions that have arisen because of prescription abuse and the schizoid approach that our politicians and medical professionals have towards pain management in this country. It is only when such patients affected(out of legitimate pain issues or addictions or even both) go to the streets and the dealers to get the pills or to get into heroin that my empathy/compassion meter starts to peg negatively against these folks. For in dealing with such criminals means that at some point those so addicted become linked in a chain of abuses, crime, and ultimately murder.
This is terrifying! Can you imagine the chaos if 10K hostile invader cross over into Texas?
The heroes of the Alamo must be flipping in their graves!
Agree.
And it is a huge problem.
The Latin Invading Expeditionary Force has now reached the size of a military DIVISION. The Mexicans are apparently giving them maps of Texas. It is said that enough Mexicans are joining them as they march north that they will number FIVE MILITARY DIVISIONS by the time they reach America! Can they be stopped??
This is a full scale invasion.
Single strand Concertina would be ineffective. I've breached that in a prowl and growl training situation patrol. I got all the way into and all the way out of my objective without detection. The only patrol of the brigade sized exercise to lay claim to that.
But triple strand with both engineer stakes and tangle-foot wrapped around stakes at ankle height in a complex pattern for about 75-100 meters standoff from the razor wire then covered with sensors or better yet, trip flares to give an alert for a patrol to probe the disturbance.
They should have ROE that is appropriate to an invasion force especially where elements of the Mexican Army may be providing an armed escort as they have on over 200 previous occasions since GW was POTUS. The Mex Army or possibly their SOF units called the Zetas act as screen for the drug cartel smuggling ops. Prior ROE called for Border Patrol to "Run and Hide."
“supposedly from Honduras”
Only 3,000 crossed from Guatemala.
Who are the rest?
Is there a source for that number? That is terrifying!
