Last month, a few days after my six-year-old daughter started first grade, I was standing in the schoolyard, having just watched her walk off to her classroom, when I was accosted by another parent.
She told me that, given my conservative views, I should leave liberal California and move to Kansas, where Id learn how they treat Jews like me.
I asked her if she thought she was being tolerant. She replied: I am tolerant. I just hate you.
I have hesitated to write about that incident until now, because I did not want to escalate the conflict. But in the past several weeks, it has become clear that conservatives around the country are having similar experiences.

Scott Adams, the Dilbert cartoonist who has become a widely respected political pundit thanks to his understanding of methods of persuasion, often notes that fear is the most effective form of persuasion.
Trump has warned voters that Democrats are an angry mob and voters seem to agree, pushing up Republicans poll numbers. But polls do not vote and volunteers may be too afraid of the mob to do what is necessary to make sure Republican voters turn out on Election Day.
There is already anecdotal evidence from the field, where Republicans are reluctant to canvass their neighborhoods, or even put up yard signs, lest they face retaliation.

What more proof is needed to show that the police are primarily in place to protect a corrupt government that gives not one care for the people who elected it?
The NPC people just do what they are told and refuse to see reality and turn on people like us instead.
There is some kind of underlying narcissistic injury happening there I’m sure.
Everyone on the panel just stared at him, though Maria and Dagen McDowell tried to talk to him. He couldn't be convinced otherwise.
He sounded like he was on a different planet.
This article is ruining my Saturday. It rings true to me. Here in hard-left Western Washington state, judging by the political opinions that people feel comfortable vocalizing openly, it seems like 98% of the people are leftists or low information voters who have been radicalized into anti-Trump hysteria by the news media, social media, and all the other standard influencers that have been taken over by the marxists. Time and time again, I find that seemingly intelligent, seemingly kind people—when the topic of politics comes up—are really filled with an unhinged, irrational hatred that drives their voting.
Violence and intimidation works. Just ask the KKK, whose political triumph is indisputable.
The OH Republican Party doesn't seem to care about the rank and file. It does look like they're throwing this election so they can "clean house" of Trump supporters. They'll still have the Legislature, the Judiciary, and a whole lot of profits from their dealing.
Every time a pollster calls I tell them that I vote democrat.
Come election day I vote a straight Republican ticket.
Boost their precious fragile little egos with inflated poll numbers, then rip their hearts out and crush their souls on election day.
The mob should be arrested for voter intimidation
When in such moments, when they fall under that spirits influence, they really do sound like they are from a different reality.
Whatever that spirit is, it will quickly take them from zero to insanity unless its gas is gently released and its emotions deflated.
As both a friendly non-combatant and an observer, Im trying to understand the relationship between political emotions and a need for drama, almost like an addiction, that seems to animate and drive them.
Ive seen the same things within my own self during elections past, but I have since experienced how Christ and His Holy Spirit actually do give us their Peace, as well as giving us Truth, which keeps us free from deception as long as we keep it for our reference.
Coincidently, each of these friends arent current Christians. They are demonrats first and seasonal Christians or Christians in childhood only as a distant second.
In each case, they have their own rational disconnect from and hostility toward Christian beliefs and are easily riled up by social justice rhetoric.
At the same time, each and all are good hearted people, but with hardened hearts as well.
I pray we each will be graced with His Spirit of Understanding, for how else will we repent or even desire to?
I have GOP lawn signs in my yard despite several neighbors with Democrat signs. My neighbors are nice folks. I have a bit more concern for folks who drive by my house, but it is a free country, yet!
The Original Antifa understood this very well, and were headed for power in Germany until they encountered a superior fighting force.
The thing is if you moved to Kansas or the other red states, you would learn how Jews are treated in Red State America which is.....just fine.....just like anybody else.
This whole idea that everybody who doesn’t agree with them is some kind of nazi and that everybody in the red states goes around with confederate flags and guns in their pickups looking to oppress anybody who isn’t a WASP is laughable - yet the Leftists seem to actually believe it. This just goes to show how provincial and bigoted they are.
If they [The Democrat’s mob actions] weren’t working, they would not be using them. They worked for the Nazis and they will work for the Democrats. The Democrats will continue to employ them until the decent people stop them. By decent people, I refer to the Citizens, not the Government Officials, who bear that responsibility. As evidenced by Portland, Oregon, Berkely[sp]?,California the police forces protect the anarchists and persecute and prosecute the law abiding Citizens that are merely defending themselves from attack.
What we are looking at is a classic war between good and evil.
When one studies the build up to WWII, it is unmistakably apparent that the forces of evil thought they were going to win (and that the Axis powers would rule the civilized world).
The Dark Side is playing a different game this time. Seeking to take over by internal measures, initially at the ballot box and, failing that, war in the streets. BTW, I think they know they cannot win at the ballot box but are waiting to see what happens on November 6th before they abandon that idea.
The forces of evil have declared their intentions and, if you judge them by their energy and unity of purpose, it is safe to say (and someone else on this thread has already said), they are beyond the point of no return.
It is clear for all to see that, for the Hard Left, there is no turning back.
I believe we have already passed the point of no return.

I’m more optimistic. I see the rise of social media as the reflowering of the Republic.
People in the Black community are standing up such as Kanye West and Candace Owens. These people are being heard because you no longer have to watching their TV at 6:30 PM to hear them.
Instantly, they can be seen on YouTube. This is an incredible development that allows Truth to emerge despite the dominance of Fake News on the Boob Tube.
I would have told her “ I will, the second you recall all your Californian assholes from Texas!”
The Bible best documents this war between good and evil and our current battles with the Dark Side and the weapons and tactics it uses against each of us.
My moms side was German and, up until 2000 or so, I always wondered how such people could have been the genesis for two world wars.
But, now I can see how it could happen here as easily as it did there if the current iteration of that malware goes any more viral. We are to believe we are at a critical mass, as supposedly, half the country is infected with it and is acting and will be voting accordingly.
I often wonder if it is actually one or more of Revelation 13:16s spirits having sport with U.S. and the rest of our post-cold war world.
Ive come to believe and accept that a) we are born into an on-going story that has to run its course.
And b) we are close to an ending of some kind, either the end of this storyline, like the end a season of a current TV program, or its cancellation/end of an epoch, or Johns revelation end to the story itself.
Okay with me. Whatever the case, in this election and beyond, I find a lot of comfort believing that Gods got this.
Great post.
I'm a native Californian who relocated my family and business to Texas a dozen years ago.
On the two occasions I've visited family there, it felt exactly like that to me.
