Heitkamp Apologizes For Running Ad Naming Alleged Sexual Assault Survivors Without Their Permission

North Dakota Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp apologized Tuesday for publishing a Sunday ad listing alleged sexual assault survivors, a number of whom said they had not given their permission to be in the ad or were not survivors of sexual assault.
“I deeply regret this mistake and we are in the process of issuing a retraction, personally apologizing to each of the people impacted by this and taking the necessary steps to ensure this never happens again,” Heitkamp said in a statement

These needs to be her Todd Aiken moment. She is an accidental senator anyway, elected by less than a 3000 vote margin because her opponent, a RINO and one-term congressman, suffered from Aiken's fallout.
Her shtick of "vote for me because I'm a nice lady and I survived breast cancer" was growing old and stale anyway. North Dakota is wealthy enough now from oil revenue, the other old shtick of "vote for me because I can bring home more government pork" is past the sell-by date too.
