Commenting on how Democrats can strengthen their party by effectively targeting Trump administration policies they oppose, Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.) said liberals must "fight in the courts, fight in the streets" and "fight at the ballot box."
On Tuesday morning's Morning Joe (MSNBC), co-host Mika Brzezinski asked, "So, broad question about the future of the Democratic Party, especially given your firsthand experience with what we've all been through. There's so much going on here that we clearly see, you know, places where you -- we can criticize what the administration is doing, but how does the party rebuild? How do you prevent overreach in a situation like this? How do you prevent a continuation of the bubble in a situation like this, and how does the party reclaim its reach across the country while fighting these battles?"

Back then, the rock throwing in the streets was answered by police who didn't hesitate to squelch rioters. But the bombs delivered to innocent folks, the bank robberies using firearms, policemen killed, that was scary stuff; it was an uglier time than now. The killers were not paid for protesters but well-educated middle class boomers led by well-trained Communists. Today's crowds are their incoherent, miseducated children. Not reds, just brown shirts or greens.

Some of us out here are waiting for the actual fighting, real fighting, to start.
My own opinion is these people, the left, can only be held back by the ballot box. Whether it happens tomorrow, next year, or 20 years from now, arms will be taken up by people on both sides of the political spectrum. That will determine the future of this country.
