The ruling class Republicans have stabbed Stewart in the back because he beat their “moderate” candidate in the primary.
Stewart supports the Trump agenda and fights illegal immigration, which these ruling class Republicans in Virginia can’t stand.
Kaine was easily beatable this year, but the Republicans would rather lose than get a real conservative elected. The state and national Republicans have not given a dime for Stewart’s campaign, yet their phone calls for contributions in Virginia use Kaine as a means of soliciting contributions, all of which will be sent out of state for never-Trumpers like Romney and Murkowski’s campaign chest.
