One blessed thing about the downfall of Fibber Williams is that we no longer have to endure Peter Pan specials by his daughter. The only thing good about that show was the SNL parody of it. One of the very few times in the past few years that SNL was actually funny.

Grant was a great General.

His Vicksburg campaign is still being studied at West Point. He is also the only Union General to force the surrender of 3 Confederate armies.

The US Civil war was the prototype for Modern War. What seemed so shocking to his Democrats poltical foes (Both Confederate and in the North) was Grant was the 1st General on either side who understood that the only path to victory was the utter defeat of the South’s will to wage war. The only way to end the war was beating the South until it was on its knees.

So since they could not argue the facts, they engaged in Democrat Politics 101, the smear job. Grant historical legacy, only now being corrected by modern historians, was largely a create of Lincoln’s, Democrat political foes, and sore losers Southern Generals.

What a dummy. JFK was under Gen. George Washington when he served on PT boats in the Pacific during WW2.

I wasn’t aware that Ike used PT-109 during the D-Day invasion as a supply boat...

I worked for two years in Tulsa as claims rep for SSA.

One guy I met and got to talk to extensively was a captain in JFK’s PT boat squadron.

Of course I asked him about Kennedy. His reply was basically that he was well liked but getting rammed by a destroyer was about the worst thing that could happen to you. They were the fastest thing on the ocean.

If JFK was alive today and serving in congress he would be one of the more conservative members.

One of JFK’s seniors was John Mitchell, later better known as Nixon’s Attorney General.

If one has read history:
JFK "VOLUNTEERED" to go to the Pacific theater,

because J Edger Hoover caught JFK sleeping with a Nazi spy in DC

Maybe Fibber thinks the Pacific is somewhere in the Mediterranean.

And they were searching for Amelia Earhart in the islands somewhere around Italy.

In parts of the south they would say that he’s “eaten up with the dumbass”.

Brian Williams was never going to be kept off the news. Just scold him and suspend him for a while, then when most of the sheeple don’t know or don’t care, slowly reintroduce him to the world of broadcast news, which they’ve been doing ever since they “fired” him.

"Your father pulled strings and insisted you deserve a medal for turning the engine off on your PT boat and getting run over by a destroyer."

It was not John, it was Joe that served in England and far down the chain of command from supreme commander Ike.

Although in the Navy he worked on projects to ight the Germans

I too was a skeptic, but Brian Williams was actually there. How could anyone challenge the credibility of the guy who shot down Richtofen over the Shores of Tripoli?
