Sen. Marco Rubio said Sunday that Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin should not attend an upcoming investment conference in Saudi Arabia amid an ongoing investigation into the country's possible involvement in the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing earlier this month in Turkey.
"I don't think he should go," Rubio told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union," adding that he doesn't think any US officials should continue with their usual business in Saudi Arabia until Washington gets to the bottom of Khashoggi's disappearance. "I don't think any of our government officials should be going and pretending it's business as usual until we know exactly what's happened here," Rubio, R-Florida, said.

Why is it that all the media covers Rubio’s press statements so dramatically? I really don’t care what he has to say.
There is no proof that he’s even dead, that if he is that he was killed in the Saudi embassy by Saudis, that the Saudi King had anything to do with it.
There is far more unknown than known.
What we know is that the possible dead guy has not made a public statement.
Trump should send Munchin and have him put that turdling of a prince in his place. Clip his wings, get the Saudi’s to release more oil to the markets, troll the liberals and deliver a message to the world. Winning all around.

Marco should round up his Senate and house pals and pass a resolution on sanctioning Saudi Arabia.

I have no use for the Saudis, but if a sovereign nation stifles dissent by imprisoning or even murdering their own citizens, that's their own internal affair, not ours. Basing foreign policy on feel-good "human rights" concerns (or pretending to) is childish and naïve.
There are good reasons to target the Saudis with sanctions - first and foremost the fact that they give money and authority to radical Wahhabi clerics (who in turn send that money to radical fellow Islamists around the world), but a missing or dead journalist shouldn't even be on the radar.
How much economic damage could the House of Saud do to the US? It's not a good situation.

I read that he turned on a recording device before he went in. A device that automatically uploaded to the internet.
And they frantically searched for a way to delete it including trying to log on using his fingerprint from his dead body.

What crawled up Rubio’s butt and died? Most of the party either moved to Trump or are moving to Trump. Marco holding out hope that one day he will be President is long gone.
