A Saturday report from The New York Times found Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, paid little to no federal income taxes from 2009 to 2016 using legal tax mechanisms.
An IRS policy known as depreciation is a deduction Kushner Cos. used to diminish its taxable income on properties largely bought with borrowed money.
Though not illegal, the filings show how real estate tax codes leave room for profitable maneuvering.

Meanwhile, theyre are tons of Dems that arent paying their taxes while they working hard to raise ours.
Let’s see The NY Slimes’ tax returns through the years.
Using depreciation!!!
Wow, how dodgy can you get? </sarcasm>
If it’s legal he didn’t “dodge” anything.
The old depreciation scam....
GE made a Billion in profits
what did they pay in taxes?
ZIP.
It’s legal when Democrats and Democrat donors do it.
It’s a crime against humanity when Republicans do it.
What trick does Hillary use? Oh right, the Clinton Foundation.
The income tax was created by super wealthy progressives for the benefit of super wealthy progressives, and to the detriment of the middle class. If progressives don’t like it, why not go back to Constitutional taxation? Tax profits and corporations, not individuals. Tax consumption, but not private residences. Let’s do it, progressives!
((Crickets))
I guess not.
What! Jared wasn’t stupid enough to overpay his taxes?
The Left is outraged!
I’ve been in the accounting/finance field for more than twenty years now, and it seems strange that using depreciation/amortization expense to write off one’s taxes is suddenly newsworthy, forgive me.
Disclosure is one thing....tax returns are not included.
Oh no.....I depreciated my car when I had my business.
Translation:
Unlike most demoncrats, Jared is actually following the law.
Still wonder why she had to refile for the foundation for 5 years.
If it’s legal, it’s not really a tax dodge, except in case of Republicans when someone wants to make a headline.
In other words, Jared Kushner did not pay more taxes than he was required to pay.
GASP! How DARE he?
It’s just a little something the Dems added to help themselves out but NOT YOU ,LOL
