it was consensual group sex.

"If there had not been video then these men would have been put on trial and maybe found guilty. That is pretty scary.""

Not likely... Cultural adjustments would have allowed them go scot free and, in addition, get a nice payoff from the CA taxpayers...

“A false claim of rape should see the accuser jailed for just as long a legitimate rapist would get.”

That needed repeating. I was accused of sexual impropriety in my workplace. If it were true and proven I would have lost my job, possibly my pharmacy license but my reputation was damaged with no recourse. The reputation part is what really hurt and made me angry. I well remember how people acted around me after these unfounded allegations.

Most oddly the thief was one of my best workers. I trusted her completely. She was extremely competent. I knew we had a thief in our pharmacy. I started running the cash register tapes and compared them against other employees. I thought someone else was stealing. The more the evidence pointed to her the more I looked for evidence that said it was not her. It was her. The final nail in the coffin was doing a linear regression comparing cash and checks from when she was on the register verses other clerks. She was taking cash and not ringing it up. All checks were rung up properly. The linear regression showed it with certainty. I then tried even harder to prove it was not her. It was her. It made me most sad to determine she was a damn thief. She was the last one I suspected.

These evil persons need to suffer the same consequences of their accusations.

The real hell of it is the employee was a thief and was fired. She feared prosecution and thus the allegations against me. She was trying to gain leverage. Oddly the company just wanted her gone as prosecution would have gained the company nothing.

I volunteered for a polygraph and passed. She was given the same offer and refused. My boss called me and told me I was cleared and all was well. I asked if he would refer the theft to the police for investigation and prosecution. I had the cash register receipts that showed 100% she was a thief. My boss said no.

I informed him if you do not prosecute thieves you will have more thieves. He made a totally logical decision. I then gave him my two weeks notice and went into Hospital Pharmacy for the next 25 years. It was a good decision.

Oddly I bear my boss no ill will. He was looking after the company as he should.
