Probably shouldn’t bring a sword to a gunfight.
Unless you’re Jackie Chan :)
A volley of 10mm would have been best for the nation.
Bruce Lee was once asked why so many King Fu movies are set in ancient China. His answer was something like, “Well, if we set the movie in modern times I challenge the guy to a fight assuming a stance and yelling Hi-yah and he pulls a gun that goes bang”-bang and the movie ends
I actually have that video. It’s very good, though a bit dated.
Years ago here in Seattle their was a guys with a Samurai sword Downtown - held a bunch of cops at bay. I think they ended up with the bean bags too. Might be 10 years now. I’m guessing if it was the same guy, but out now on parole, they might have mentioned it in the story?
The Red letter Media Youtube review of it is hilarious. They’re fascinated and horrified all at the same time.
“Milwaukee Cops vs. Ninjas” lol
PING to above
LOL
Yeah it didn’t work out so good for that swordsman in the first Indiana Jones movie :)
I once saw a WELL KNOWN (on Staten Island for what it’s worth) member of a Karate teaching family get into a fight with some kid in high school.
The karate kid (no pun intended) must have kicked the other guy 40 times when they both fell to the floor
The other guy was trying to get on top of him and I’ve NEVER seen such fast and furious kicks in my life.
Maybe kicking from a position of weakness has much less effect but they LOOKED like hard kicks.
The other guy just kept coming and he finally got the karate kid in a headlock and that was that.
Maybe the guy had a hard head because those kicks look like they would have done terrific damage to a normal person.
A friend of mine kicked the school bully and broke his jaw in two places (one kick).
“Yeah - I couldn’t get much traction with my cowboy boots on. Probably a good thing though - I would have killed him if I was wearing my moccasins.”
GOOD GRIEF!!!
It was 35 years ago but I DO remember the karate kid having soft shoes on. Somewhere between sneakers and shoes but made for agility, not pain.
Could have been the difference in the fight.
Anybody seen Swordmaker lately? Hehehe. d;^)
Probably not the best time to do the old “THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE” stick.
Yup.
Another Maxine Waters armed zombie.
When our son, blond and small, was in middle school, the school bully followed him around all day kicking at his feet and whispering trash talk and threats. Finally our son, who had earned a blue belt in tie kwon do, clocked him and down he went. The vice principle called Mr. Mercat and the vp was laughing. The bully, easily twice our sons size, had a folder two inches thick. Hed never heard of our son.. He said he had to give him suspension, time served. Mr. Mercat told him to shred the record and the vp did.
From the original reporter:
a sword in a case
.
In English we call it: a sword in a scabbard.
Oh yeah, that’ll work.
