LOL
Yeah it didn’t work out so good for that swordsman in the first Indiana Jones movie :)
I once saw a WELL KNOWN (on Staten Island for what it’s worth) member of a Karate teaching family get into a fight with some kid in high school.
The karate kid (no pun intended) must have kicked the other guy 40 times when they both fell to the floor
The other guy was trying to get on top of him and I’ve NEVER seen such fast and furious kicks in my life.
Maybe kicking from a position of weakness has much less effect but they LOOKED like hard kicks.
The other guy just kept coming and he finally got the karate kid in a headlock and that was that.
Maybe the guy had a hard head because those kicks look like they would have done terrific damage to a normal person.
A friend of mine kicked the school bully and broke his jaw in two places (one kick).
“Yeah - I couldn’t get much traction with my cowboy boots on. Probably a good thing though - I would have killed him if I was wearing my moccasins.”
That karate stuff is for the birds.
Back when I was a teenage we were at the lake when two biker dudes got into a fight with my friend’s friend(I didn’t know them)
The two friends had been pestering these two rather attractive girls who happened to have biker boyfriends(you see where this is going)
Well, when stringy but muscled their beaus finally showed up these two bikers started slapping this one dude, backing him up while his friend ran to a cooler where he retrieve a pair of nunchucks(sp?)
This boy started swinging these things and he looked impressive....but...
When he hit that biker dude in the head with a loud whack and when he tried to hit again, the biker shield himself with his arm and grabbed one of the handles and broke it. He tossed that aside and began to beat the friend and would have killed him were it not for the women shouting for he to stop.
Nope, karate looks good on film....not in real life.
