Democratic pollster Celinda Lake said that women are more likely to oppose abortion rights than men.
Women are much less likely to be pro-choice," Lake, who is the president of Lake Research, told Hill TV's Joe Concha on "What America's Thinking."
"Women are more religious than men, and so women are slightly less pro-choice than men," she continued.

Enter RH Reality Check, where blogger Renee Bracey Sherman apparently just could not abide the thought of men who dont support the murder of their children being given resources on how to prevent it. Showing all of the debate ability of a five-year-old, Shermans response can basically be summed up as nuh-uh!! She points out that some men are just fine and dandy with abortion, thankyouverymuch, and that supporting abortion is an act of love, too. And this is something that we rubes at Live Action are just incapable of understanding.
This week, the anti-choice group Live Action posted an article about how men can stop the women in their lives from obtaining an abortion. The article tells men not to give your permission for abortion or help her get one, suggests getting a restraining order against their partner, and advises them to buy their partner prenatal vitamins and baby supplies. But the most wrongheaded thing about the piece is that not all men are against abortionmany think it is a complicated issue and support their partners in their decision-making.
As I continue to share my abortion experience publicly, I meet people who want to share theirs with me. Some of those people are men. Ive heard stories about how the choice was tough, but they appreciated that their partner included them in the decision. They too felt abortion was the best option at that time. Some have gone on to have other children, while others havent. Once a man told me that when he and his partner became pregnant after having an abortion, they had such a different feeling about it: We knew that this time, we were ready to be parents. I felt like a father.
Being a parent is about more than buying prenatal vitamins and diapers. It is about having the ability to support a person for the rest of your life. And when I decide to become a parent, I want to make sure that I am in a place where I am ready to do that. And I want to do it with a partner who is ready to respect our children, our family, and me. What Live Action doesnt understand is that supporting someone through an abortion is a form of love as well. Its a deep respect for all of lifes complexities. And I believe that most men, and fathers, understand that too.
If Sherman ever actually read Live Actions blog posts, she might have known that we are painfully aware that there are plenty of men willing to go along with abortions. We talked about MSNBC personality Touré Neblett, who said that he was sleeping with a woman he didnt want to marry, and when she got pregnant, he was just totally thrilled that she was able to have an abortion. Nebletts experience is the most common: a man is screwing around, having no intentions whatsoever of committing, and when a woman hes sleeping with gets pregnant, he happily drives her to the closest abortion clinic.
Abortion is an easy way for jerks to use women for sex and then escape the consequences of their actions. A man choosing to support abortion isnt showing how much he respects women or how much he loves them. Hes showing that he is a coward who isnt willing to step up and accept responsibility for his actions like a real man.
There are also plenty of men who, when their partners dont want an abortion, will try to pressure them into it. Heath White admitted on ESPN that, upon learning that his unborn daughter had Down syndrome, he pressured his wife to have an abortion (thankfully, she refused). Other men have forced their partners into abortions when pressuring them didnt work.

Sherman neednt worry. We know that there are plenty of scumbags out there who just love abortion, and its these men whom pro-aborts love back. Meanwhile, men who feel differently are silenced. Pro-aborts like Sherman like to call themselves pro-choice, but time and time again, they show that they really arent big fans of actual choice. In this case, why should men be given information on what they can do if their partners end up pregnant and are considering an abortion? Theyll say it isnt his decision, its not his body but the fact is, it is his baby. Half the DNA of the baby is from the father, yet hes not supposed to have any feelings whatsoever except for approval? Its the pro-aborts complaining about men having information and resources here, yet were the ones they call anti-choice?

Makes perfect sense to me.
Women actually experience the awesome feeling of incubating a new human life within them.
A lot of men are just looking for a cheap out if they manage to knock-up a casual sex partner.
Margaret Sanger was not pro-choice. No more babies for 10 years in Europe after WWII was her comment. Didn’t give a damn if a woman might not be able to have a kid after that 10 years.
Pro-abort is not pro-choice or pro-informed consent.
Kills some babies so that PP can sell the bodies for parts and get rich.
Spot on in your analysis, Buckeye. Pretty simple if you ask me.
The Suffragettes were in part in response to the fact that when a woman found herself pregnant that her husband, father or other male relative could force her to abort and she had no legal recourse.
Child killing was a great evil in their minds.
Ive known this for awhile. My daughter has had boyfriends that upon finding out she was Pro life broke off the relationship.this has happened a couple times with long term relationships.
I’d like to know if there is a split in abortion opinions between eligible voter women who vote and those who choose not to vote.

I have heard that the statement “We don’t the word to go out...” was taken out of context, and that she wanted to head off that idea that she was promoting black genocide before it reached black churches.
I would welcome clarifying documentation.
It has been my observation that the maternal instinct - and the bond between mother and child - are very strong - probably the most significant factors in propagating the human species since the beginning.
Therefore, it always struck me as strange that the “pro-choice” movement was at its core the concept of a woman killing her unborn baby.
I think that’s pretty accurate, but I do want to address the men not mentioned there.
There are also many men that don’t want the baby aborted. They care for the woman and want offspring with her.
They should not be forgotten, because they have no say in the matter.
BTW, Margaret Sanger quotes was one of the original test cases for Google to scrub information off of the internet.
They’ve been pretty successful. Archive everything you’ve got on her.
I don’t believe it.
In my view women are hedonistic and want to protect their perceived right to have sex without consequences, meaning that they can have an abortion at any time without a second thought.
Of course there is the portion of men that also want to have sex without a condom and without consequence, but I believe that number is smaller.
‘Women actually experience the awesome feeling of incubating a new human life within them.’
of course; that’s why so many of them go into a spittle flecked rage when they think someone might be chipping away at RoevWade and go screeching into the streets and making up assault allegations against SCOTUS nominees, because they are so infused with the milk and honey of motherhood...
One of the biggest problems is even the definition of abortion. Some people think that the birth control pill causes abortion (I don’t), so it should be illegal.
While I may get trashed for saying I’m fine with the pill, the point is the definition means different things to different groups.
When you get to specifics, polls change. Very, very few people support 3rd trimester abortions, for example. And rightly so. Banning the pill, however, would get much lower support. Republicans frequently get trashed as a group for (falsely, imo) wanting that.
Regardless, Roe v Wade was an awful decision. It should be up to each state, period.
The reason I don’t believe it is that otherwise the screaming protests about abortion would be mostly composed of men and not women (like they are).
Again, spot on. I cannot imagine the anguish I would have felt had I ever been placed in that position. Selfishness can make monsters out of people easier than you think.
Yes, I agree. And thanks...
Real women won’t kill the new life within them...real men will not allow it to happen....it’s those who eschew all responsibility that think killing is OK if it’s convenient to them.
