If such behavior becomes the new normal, well all be in trouble.
This last week, left-wing bullies shouted down senators in the hallways of the capitol, stormed senatorial offices, and generally endeavored to occupy Congress as they once did Wall Street all to force members of the Senate to reject Brett Kavanaughs nomination to the Supreme Court.
Among the many disgraces of the two weeks since Christine Blasey Fords accusation of sexual assault was leaked to the press, the bad behavior of protesters on Capitol Hill may seem low on the list. But it is something that we should be deeply concerned about.
The right to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances is a cornerstone of the AngloAmerican political tradition. It was enumerated in the English Bill of Rights after the Glorious Revolution, and during the period between the French and Indian War and the American Revolution, the colonists themselves made frequent use of it, writing letters to George III to protect their rights. When James Madison acquiesced to a bill of rights (for he was initially opposed to one), he made sure assembly and petition were included.
Put simply, the right to petition is the right to ask your government for things without fear that it will punish you merely for asking. Similarly, the right to assemble is the right to do so in a public forum, without fear that the government will harm you. These fit perfectly into the spectrum of rights protected by the First Amendment, which broadly establishes the unfettered formation of public opinion as the great bulwark of republican government.
But the First Amendment does not grant carte blanche to assembly and petition. In fact it is the only pair of rights listed therein that contains a limitation.

1. Most of the media is actively working for the Democrats
2. The Democrats have no ideas, no principles, just tactics.
3. Dems are angry, vindictive, and violent.
4. The more loudly the Democrats claim to care about victims, the less they actually do.
The Progressives/Communists have been using the Supreme Court for decades to override the will of the majority of Americans. Roe vs. Wade would never have made it through both houses of Congress, neither would universal gay marriage or dozens of others.
Watch for the talking point which we are already hearing that Kavanaugh’s “dubious” appointment makes the Supreme Court illegitimate. If the Commies can’t use the court to impose their will on the American people they will deny its legitimacy. This is why, even though I am reluctant to go after any sexual harassment accuser, we must insist that Christine Blasey-Ford and all those who conspired with her are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
There’s nothing illegitimate about Kavanaugh or the way he was appointed, and we cannot allow that notion that there is to remain unchallenged.
Violent intimidation tactics are a cornerstone of leftist strategy. History shows that takeover of countries by totalitarian regimes is often preceded by violent mob activity. It happened in the USSR and Germany; the parallels of the behavior of modern American leftists to the socialist thugs of the past are striking.
Yeah well welcome to the world of MAGA. We’ve been dealing with this violent behavior for last 3 years.

___________
I think that it is also important to remember that when the leftists denounced in those countries, sexual impropriety was one of the subjects used for denouncement.
A+
Well stated, FRiend. I wholeheartedly agree.
All that is required for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.
I believe I hear the faint sound of an approaching whirlwind . Leftist should take heed and behave accordingly.
Are they still trying to get him to prison, or was their only purpose to prevent the Supreme Court Nomination?
It’s looking like they will have their asses handed to them in the midterms and if that happens, maybe finally they will wake up to the fact that acting like domestic enemies of the United states isn’t exactly the best tactic when it comes to winning elections.
It’s not over yet. That’s what dems do.
They need to be reminded on November 6 why they lost two years ago.
Also, I really think we shouldnt underestimate the ability of the Left to acquire and use the firearms they say they abhor, too. Just like how they use privately-owned gas-guzzling and carbon-emitting conveniences every day while insisting everyone else ride a bike or bus. We know theyre rules are for thee and not for me at heart.
The threat of arms or force is useless if never applied...and the left counts on the reluctance of mainstream citizens to apply the necessary reaction to forestall even greater use.
Friday, I sprayed a yelllow jacket nest. Some came boiling out but fell dead.
For the rest of the day, those outside the nest returned to find it toxic. They mill around a while aand leave. They are in disarray.
Those left out are metaphorical democrats aimlessly milling around after the confirmation disaster. They are powerless to survive.
The Left has been engaged in low grade verbal terrorism for some time but are now transitioning to acts of violence just short of murder. They may cross that line before the midterm election.
When you are reduced to hysterical protesting, it means you are getting your
proverbial a$$ kicked on the playing field.
Whaaaaaah!
Sometimes my method will work better, and sometimes yours will work better. But they usually both work. Setting up the fake glass bowl world is more difficult when we are trying to fool leftists. But it is possible.
I have contended for years that “demonstrations” are NOT protected by the First Amendment, to the extent that their purpose is to intimidate or inspire fear.
