Democrats just killed the blue wave
The Hill ^ | 10/06/18 09:30 AM EDT | HEATHER R. HIGGINS, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR

Democrats were cheered by the renewed FBI investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh and counted it as a win. Most Republicans were dismayed that the full Senate's vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court was delayed and saw this as a political misstep.

They should change places.

First, while the politically attuned understand this is just a delay game by the left, who are on record as willing to do anything to derail this nominee and force the appointment to be made after the November election, swing voters and many women do not.

For them, there is no reason to not look further. The “why rush? It’s for a lifetime” argument resonates as do their own experiences. This past week countless of men have learned from many women just how prevalent the alleged behavior and how much worse it is. This includes those in my own family who hadn’t known I was a victim of sexual assault in high school and just after college when I was the victim of rape.

Independents, Millennials and many women want to know: Why hasn’t Mark Judge answered more questions? What do other classmates say? Is the GOP going to be fair to what they saw as sincere testimony by Dr. Ford?

President Trump is astute and understood ahead of any polling, that for these people, rushing a vote without more FBI vetting would leave Kavanaugh’s legitimacy perpetually undermined on the court.

The Democrats may want to get a handle on their militant, dogmatic, SJW youngsters who are hellbent on taking over the party and turning it into the Khmer f**king Rouge.

It may be past the tipping point on that. Perez needed to keep this thing compartmented or it would suck the oxygen out of the room for the Dem challengers, which it has, who have ended up one month from election day without being able to get their own messages out over the din. Perez blew it, Feinstein blew it, Pelosi blew it, Hillary blew it all before them; the entire establishment wing of the Democrat party placed an all-or-nothing sucker bet on a truly repulsive character assassination, and worse, it failed. And the kiddies are walking into a vacuum of power.

Their problem is that the real world gets a whole lot tougher when you leave campus, where their rule has been nearly absolute for so long they think it's a natural state of affairs. They were shocked when Kavanaugh didn't buckle and actually pushed back. That doesn't happen at Yale or Berkeley.

Personally I couldn't give a rip if they drive the party full-tilt boogie into a brick wall, with Schumer and SanFranNan and DiFi and the rest of that insane clown posse cheering from the passenger car windows. You just want to hope they don't take too many good people with them.

This crap will come back to bite them. Just a matter of time. AND Justice Kavanaugh is appointed for life and he will remember this event. And rule accordingly.

And the kiddies are walking into a vacuum of power.

A discussion on Twitter at the absolute pits that the news media has fallen to regarding Kavanaugh had people wondering, "are there no adults in the newsrooms anymore?"

The answer was yes, but they're scared. The SJWs fresh out of college with their liberal arts degrees in grievance studies are taking over. They are rigid and militant and uncompromising and their Gen-X and Boomer bosses and supervisors are terrified of crossing them.

They may double down. But we’ll have a 58 or more majority in the Senate. So they can’t do much.

You can’t fix stupid and the Democrats are as stupid as they get. They’re also as dangerous as a wounded bear or lion. They will still strike with the same venom, but now the American people are aware of their gutter tactics and will hopefully not reward them at the ballot box. Also, I don’t think the Democrats anticipated the Republicans hanging in there tough and sticking with Kavanaugh. I think we can thank the president for injecting a little spine and backbone into the GOP. The Dems expected them to roll over as they usually do, but this time they got a rude awakening.

Which is why the dems went to hell and back to try and stop Kavanaugh.

They’re desperate now that their
latest antics didn’t work. I’m
thinking they’ll try anything to
regain some ground.

Bull. The left always double downs. Just wait. They’ll be even worse on the next one.”

We have not even begun to see the end of this smear tactic. They will even double down and get more sophisticated next time. They double down because they are never wrong. Its just some kind of aberration that doesn't reflect on them at all...

The Hill is attempting Damage Control for the DemocRATS. Notice the mention of Swing Voters and Women. They are worried Swing Voters - Independents/Moderates will not be happy with the DemocRAT Smear Job. They also worry about Women - Mothers with sons won't like it either.

So what to do?? GLOSS OVER IT!

I said the Dems will oppose her on judiciary grounds. Maybe they might bring her religion into it. But that’s as far as they will go. They’re not going to smear Barrett or bring up false allegations against her.
_________________________________________________

The Democrats will do anything they remotely hope will work. Just because a rotten tactic didn’t work with Kavanaugh doesn’t mean it won’t work with Barrett, or any other nominee. And if it doesn’t, they will come up with another, and use the same old ones again, and again, and again.

Democrats are NUTS! They will smear her until the flamin’ cows come home if they think it will work. They will just have to be a little more creative next time, but rest assured they will be DESPERATE to not allow another conservative on the SC. Don’t underestimate their evil cunning nor their tenacity, nor think anything is so vile they wouldn’t stoop so low. They can and will. They’re not going to suddenly become “nice guys”.

The Left is not going to pull this card again. Just like Trump owned them on the gov't shutdown and now Dems aren't going to pull any more gov't shutdowns for political purposes.

You give them too much credit. They are morons and will continue bashing, bitching, and smearing all they can. It's what they know how to do.

So blame & rant about Trump all they want, the bottom line is that even in a indirect way, Trump is still lowering the unemployment rate as Soros is spending millions for his fake protestors during the whole process.

But will Trump get any credit from these buffoons who were paid just to protest his pick? Nope! If it weren't for this, they would still be sitting around doing nothing.

Newsweek says "Republicans have just lost women FOREVER". Yeah ok sure.

Chuck Shumer talked about Republicans alleging "an unseen partisan conspiracy".

Unseen? Unseen? UNSEEN? Is the sky unseen too Chuck? You bastards were right out in the open.

I have one thing to say. Hahahahahahahha nanananananana.

my guess...
he will force universities to cancel and absorb the debts of all student loans from NON STEM degrees. and PUT THE INDOCTRINATION centers OUT OF BUSINESS financially...

federal loan guarantees for universities that strive to over throw middle america... will be thrown under the bus for good. they will lose their soapbox opportunities and perches for spreading harpyism...

this will kill the hag indoctrination process... in less than a decade, the feminists will be back down to less than 3 percent of the population...

Your analysis is correct and the left over played their hand but historically the party in power loses 30 seats in the house and the more reliable Real Clear Politics house polls are still showing the shift toward dems that historically happen. I hope we hold the house and pretty sure we will hold the Senate and pick up a few there.

The biggest challenge is what happened in CA is happening nationally but we and Trump can change it.

Think about this: CA is still the state with the most Republicans of any state in the union, unfortunately we are swamped by more block voting Dems. it wasn’t always that way. CA was a state that looked like a conservative mid west state right through 1988-Reagan was elected gov twice. Demographics looked like similar to a Midwest state too-So what happened? The state’s demographics changed-anywhere from 250,000 to 1 million, immigrants , majority being illegal aliens, and as the dems slowly gained power they offered what we called welcome packets at the border (free govt income and benefits) this only increased dems hold on certain ethnic block voters. Today, currently Caucasians comprise less than 49% of the state’s population. 1988 it was 69%. This isn’t meant to be a racial commentary but the Dems have locked I block voting going on and we need to be aware that’s where the growth is: Just imagine if African Americans didn’t vote 90%+ for Dems, currently it’s like starting any national election down by 10 points, but if it was even 60/40 Dems wouldn’t’ win hardly any national office.
Bottom line is enjoy today but do not be complacent we can’t sit around and celebrate too much, we need to be fired up and persuade others

Most of the priests I remember from my youth were kindly old tippers. I reckon the Judge fits right in. There are many closeted members of the temperance movement among the press and throughout liberal factions who abhor tippers, Obviously, and ChiSpyDiFi has remarked in the past that she abhors Catholics. She did not come out during Judge Kavs confirmation and bluntly state that, but there are past statements on record that can confirm her prejudice.
