Whats going on now: Senators mostly Democrats, who have said they plan to use the 30 hours of debate granted by the cloture motion have been delivering speeches to a nearly empty chamber since midday Friday. The speeches will likely continue through Saturday, up until the call for the vote on Kavanaughs nomination.
What time: The vote will come at the end of the 30-hour period that began on Friday at 10:52 a.m. EDT. The vote is expected to be taken sometime between 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. EDT.
What channel: Cable news networks and network channels will be broadcasting the Senate vote on Kavanaughs nomination. You can also watch the vote on C-SPAN 2.
Livestream: You can watch the Senate livestream by clicking here.
What has to happen for Kavanaugh to be confirmed: If no senator changes his or her cloture vote, then Kavanaugh will be confirmed by a vote of 51-49.
Sen. Steve Daines, R-Montana, will be attending his daughters wedding on Saturday in Montana, so, unless his vote is needed for the nomination to pass, he may not return to Washington to vote.
If no senator changes his or her cloture vote and Daines does not return to vote, the vote would likely be 50-49.
Now that Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed they will shift their rhetoric to delegitimizing the court...

They will be back to Russia Russia Russia by Monday morning.
So I hear you're not going to vote and are going to a party instead.
4:52 pm
Manchin will show up
Why did Manchin vote with the rest of the Rats against limiting the debate to 30 hours?
Paul Wellstone was gaining too much popularity for the DNC machine (Clintons). His plane went down.
“Yes, but traitor Sen. Murkowski, who was going to vote No will vote Present so that he doesnt have to come back to vote.”
I heard this morning on F&F that that is referred to as a “shared vote,” a process whereby one senator, as a favor to another, agrees to vote “present,” so that the absent senator can skip the vote, for whatever reason. It was a described as a professional courtesy, or perhaps just another arcane senate custom.
He didn’t.
“If no senator changes his or her cloture vote, then Kavanaugh will be confirmed by a vote of 51-49.”
Out of date.
The Montana Senator may be needed.
************
Whenever “may” is said, “will” is a much safer bet. You know the old saying: what can go wrong will go wrong. (And it was an optimist who said that!)
This razor thin margin is nothing to play around with.
The cloture vote was 51-49. So you are saying Manchin didnt vote with the Rats?
Unless the Democrats pull something else.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There will be millions offered as bribes to Republican Senators, and attempts at extortion, all behind the scenes to change 3 to 5 votes.
That process is now being followed by the Dem liberal fascists, playing out as we speak.
They got to Murakowski.
They could get to others. I hope not.
Bit its not over until the fat lady sings.
Preach it!
Im praying some dems will break ranks and vote yes.
What’s the update?
That would be interesting gambit but one that would immediately backfire. I don’t think they’d try it as the optics would be very bad. They’d eventually have to show up, else effectively shut congress down for the tantrum. It’d be great to see though.
Prosecute them for terror crimes. Do that and they’ll get life in prison. Seriously, enough is enough. In this country we do not debate politics by committing terrorist acts. To me, these people who smash windows, burn cars, are no different from an Islamic terrorist blowing up a bomb. That Muslim who blew up bombs in New York city a few years ago got LIFE even though nobody was killed and all he did was damage some dumpsters. So he gets life and these Antifa mutts get an appearance ticket? No no no. Charge them with terrorist attacks against the USA.
